Such a lovely afternoon, very different way of dining, we loved it and the food was very good!

Thoroughly enjoyed everything about our first experience with Canal Boat Cruises. We booked an evening tapas cruise. Excellent food and service. Will be back to try a daytime cruise. Highly recommended.

A lovely clean and roomy canal boat with nice big tables and pretty details. The afternoon tea was great. Sandwiches very fresh and different fillings. Pleased to have tea served in bone China cups. A really pleasant afternoon and felt that the two hour cruise time was just right. Enough time to enjoy your food and drink without feeling rushed.

The cruise was very well organised and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good quality with large portions. The food was very hot which is good and service was prompt. The food was unpretentious and simply presented. There is a bar which has a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as coffees. We really enjoyed our trip and would recommend it to others. Each party has there own table and there are 360 degree views. Top Tip: if you buy a voucher but the base cost of the trip is less than the value of the voucher, they will give you the balance against extra drinks.

Lovely trip worth booking, lovely boat, lovely food and very friendly staff. So nice to see a family business pulling together and nice to support will be back for another trip.

This is our second time it was delightful the music was light gentle and quiet as background music which made the atmosphere relaxed and calm thank you. The only other thought would be to have another veg carrots lovely peas could be less with aanother veg

Couldn't fault it, excellent service, friendly staff, food lovely (especially the roast potatoes, and the beef was just how i like it) nice relaxed atmosphere, very good selection of drinks available. Would do this again.

Fantastic afternoon, weather was great, food and scenery even better. I bought this as a Christmas present for someone that has everything and it's fair to say it went down a treat. The food was excellent and there was more than enough for my wife and I. The chicken pie was amazing with large chunks of perfectly cooked moist meat and decent quantities of it! It was that good we are considering a return visit in the not too distant future.

Was a lovely Sunday lunch cruise, the only thing for me is I had been on the same cruise last year and so had enjoyed going through the Locks and although the food was good, the gravy was like water and being a northerner that makes a Sunday lunch for me :( The staff were extremely helpful and my parents really enjoyed themselves.

food was excellent and so was the service.A very scenic tranquil 3 hour river cruise, will be doing again enjoyed every moment.

The weather was kind for January. We all had a fabulous and relaxing time travelling on the canal with lovely staff and fabulous food and drink. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Overall - excellent. The boat is comfortable, well maintained and nicely appointed with good attention to detail, such as fresh flowers on every table. The staff on board were very friendly and efficient. The cruise was relaxing and comfortable and the food was of excellent quality Nd very well served. We intend return for further visits and recommend the experience very highly.

Very pleasant trip; staff were very amenable; food was good and plentyfull.; we were delighted with the trip and took a lot of photos. Our guest was visiting from Australia and was very pleased.

Lovely afternoon enjoyed the experience . We had the Sunday lunch and overall was very good. Staff were lovely through out the afternoon. feel I have to mention the roast potatoes were over cooked and was quite hard to eat other than that perfect well done.

Really enjoyed our day with lovely food. A great way to enjoy a relaxing day out. Would highly recommend as is well worth the money.

Lovely experience, if you fancy something a little bit different then give this a go. The food is very good and watching the quiet countryside float past is wonderful.

the boat was set out lovely with places set for afternoon tea with China crockery, the setting is gorgeous, however the afternoon tea seemed a tad skimpy..1 slice of quiche and half pork pie per person, the sandwiches and cakes were fine, just felt could have been a bit more for the price paid £25 each, would still recommend.

The weather was lovely but on a bad day it wouldn’t be very comfortable waiting to board. Maybe a shelter or canopy would be beneficial. Once we boarded the barge everything was spot on. The staff were efficient, friendly and very polite. The food was beautiful and the scenery complimented everything else. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Cracking day out food great and the staff fantastic really enjoyed it.this was a relaxing trip in good comfort would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone

It was brilliant. I took my mum who lives with dementia. She used to go cruising but due to her condition she is unable to go on holidays. She loved the canal cruise it brought back some happy memories for her. the food was amazing. we are planning to do another one and are looking to do an evening tapas cruise. fantastic

Everything about the trip was lovely, the service and the setting were perfect for the atmosphere and managed excellently. A little more food regarding the quiche and pork pie would be a good progression - or a selection of sandwiches so guests were able to select what they wanted.

We went as part of my husband's 60th birthday celebrations, he kept thanking me again and again as he was having such a wonderful time. From the minute we boarded we felt totally relaxed. Service was always with a smile, nothing too much trouble. We went on the tapas cruise and the food was exceptional. It was freshly cooked on board. The tables were set beautifully. Cannot rate this experience highly enough.

We spent a very enjoyable couple of hours on the Liverpool to Leeds canal being served afternoon tea by very pleasant staff. We enjoyed looking at the wildlife both on the water and in the fields as we passed by at a very leisurely speed. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and it was everything we had hoped for.

Fab food, fantastic atmosphere, great staff and good value. Would highly recommend Canal Boat cruises to anyone looking for something a little bit different on a night out with family, friends or the other half.

i booked the 3 hour two course meal as a suprise for my husband birthday..we arrived not really knowing what to expect..i have to say we was pleasantly suprised..we was met with a warm welcome by the staff..the boat was done out beautifully.everybodys tables had a fan on it which did help and was a lovely thoughtful thing to do on a hot day...well done to our chef who worked hard to give us our meal.which was made fresh on board and was presented as if we was in a restaurant.it was delicious and i have to say that suprised us,thankyou so much it was superb afternoon .we will most definatly be back with family and friends .we was really impressed well done to you all...steve and julie morrell.x

Booked the cruise as a treat for my husbands birthday. We had a lovely, relaxed afternoon with excellent food and service. The staff were very helpful and efficient .

First time at the "Tapas" evening cruise and it won`t be the last. Party of 6 and accommodated altogether in bow of boat. The tapas seemed never ending and plentiful. The boat was spacious and welcoming. Staff courteous and helpful. A very relaxing evening. Value for money. Thank you.

This was such a lovely experience and the weather contributed it was lovely. The seating was so comfortable and a little extra bonus there was a mini electric fan on each table, which was put to good use by me. The meal was very nicely cooked and served and they had quite an extensive bar on board. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we felt very well looked after. The toilet facilities were very clean and modern. I will highly recommend this to all my friends and family because I cannot believe that this would promote a criticism on any quarter. Came away feeling relaxed but buzzing at the same time. Loved it will be visiting again
