Great tasty food, and very friendly people - this is a fab place.
Another excellent meal at Domenicos. Excellent food, friendly and really good service, lovely atmosphere and decent value too.
Warm, friendly, romantic , great food. I recommend to anyone.
Great food and atmosphere in this small but cosy restaurant. Friendly waiter service. By time we left every table had been taken so service had slowed but in this atmosphere it didn’t matter.
An old favourite been going for years and it’s perfect. Great food, great wine, great service and cosy restaurant it’s all good!
Excellent food and service. Even the small portions were a bit large!
Delicious food and great value! The portions are very generous! Great little place with a warm atmosphere and friendly service. Would highly recommend paying it a visit!
Love this little place. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced and the service is great. Super friendly staff too. Definitely one of Edinburgh’s hidden gems. Cute decor, by far one of my favourite restaurants.
Lovely food, wine and ambiance. Very reasonably priced and friendly. Booking recommended as quite a small restaurant. Good wine selection. Try the Primitivo, its delicious!
Fantastic find for us, a local Italian with gorgeous food. The menu was just enough choice and the service was great will definitely be back
Very friendly , authentic, great food excellent menu . The service was first class. Restaurant was very busy and team worked no -stop however always with a smile on their face Will definitely return
Such a hidden little gem in Leith. The best service you can't ask for and the best Italian food outside of Italy. If you find yourself nearby please get a table and experience this place for yourself.
Always a good night at Domenicos. A warm welcome, good choice menu, great food, attentive staff with a cosy friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this tucked away restaurant. Once discovered you will want to return.
Lovely meal - fish beautifully cooked and very friendly service. Great meal to start off our festive holidays. Will be back soon to try the other dishes on the menu. Difficult to choose.
Absolutely superb food, drink and service as always. I’m a frequent returner and shall continue to do do. Highly recommended and thank you, my mum and I had a great time.
As usual a perfect Italian meal and total experience Can’t really be beaten Will be returning in the new year Thanks to all staff xxx
Excellent lunch, good atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and it was all at a reasonable price. I will go again and will recommend it to friends.
An excellent lunch yesterday - starter of scallops & black pudding, main dish slow-cooked rabbit with linguine beautifully cooked then lemon liqueur cake to finish.
Had a lovely time. Food was wholesome and tasty Service was top notch Will absolutely be back
Spoilt for choice in this part of Leith, we took a chance by ignoring the unpretentious exterior of Cafe Dominica and stepped inside to be greeted very warmly indeed. The interior is small but delightful with a genuinely Italian feel, helped along by the cheerful and attentive staff. The range of dishes was somewhat limited but there was more than enough choice to make a delicious meal, including the tempting 'specials’ of the day. When the food arrived, we were absolutely delighted with the presentation, the ample portions and most importantly the taste of the food itself. Brilliant service, great food, super ambience and reasonable prices; what is there not to like? Highly recommended.
Superb Sunday lunch at Cafe Domenico. As always the food lived up to it's usual high standards - delicious and flavoursome.Friendly and welcoming service. What's not to love?!
Great venue, lovely staff - friendly, professional, helpful. Food delicious except aubergine bake under-cooked & spicy sausage lacking in "punch"! House red superb. Will return.
Absolutely amazing service even though the restaurant was full and, as always the food was completely delicious. A hidden gem in the heart of Leith which is well worth a visit.
My wife an I had a excellent meal on Saturday evening food was very tasty and well prepared the service was excellent and friendly. Will def recommend my friends to dine there.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the food was amazing! It was also reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend my friends to go and would go again myself.
The histess called to let us know that they were very apologetic about the time of our reservation. Stated that there would be a delay. Called 15 minutes after our original reservation time and welcomed us to dine within 30 minutes of our reservation. Offered complimentary drinks as an apology. Dining excellent was top notch!
Came for a visit with My daughter and had an absolute lovely experience. Food and service was excellent.
Simple food cooked beautifully. Friendly service in a bustling atmosphere. If I had to make a criticism, then I would have liked them to stock low alcohol beer for the drivers amongst us. Having said that, it did not spoil our experience.
Wonderful food, first class service and one of my favourite local restaurants. I’ve been 5 times and I’ll be back. Thank you for your excellent hospitality, we were made to feel very welcome as always.
Great food, service & atmosphere. We both opted for the specials, which were lovely. A little busy restaurant that’s definitely worth another visit or two.
Been here for half a dozen evening meals and had hundreds of wraps at lunch over the years. Never fails to serve something where isn’t top notch and value for money. Love it.
Excellent value for money. Food very good and decent sized portions. Staff very friendly. Service was quick but not rushed. Would definitely return and recommend a visit.
Very friendly and quick service - A great family business. Delicious food too! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Leith wanting some wholesome, hearty Italian fare.
Great food. Pasta was al dente and the gluten free version tasted good. They did bring the dessert with a biscuit containing gluten stuck in the ice cream which is a bit of a no no for celeiacs. But the ambiance was friendly and we had a great time
This is a charming little venue with an Italian atmosphere that serves excellent food including wonderfully fresh fish and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Great service... lovely fresh food. Had the chicken and sweet potato, it was rich and spicy. Perfect location on Leith for lunch. Would highly recommend.
This is a very friendly, family business. We enjoyed extremely tasty, well-cooked food and the chef willingly adapted the menu to suit us, sharing platter of delicious starters and small portion for one of the group.
Best little Italian restaurant in Edinburgh. Fantastic service and absolutely delicious food. This place is worthy of the name ‘a hidden gem’. Go hungry- the portions are Italian size too. We look forward to going back soon. We would give it eleven out of ten if that were possible.
Great Italian restaurant on the Shore. The house red is very reasonably priced and the food menu can be tweaked to your specific requirements. The fish stew is definitely worth a try! Friendliest waiter in the UK also work's here, so worth a visit for that alone!
Our first visit here and it certainly won't be our last! A delightful, traditional Italian restaurant with a cosy ambience. Delicious food, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The smoked haddock fishcake with tarragon mayo was a joy to the taste buds! Welcoming and attentive staff.
This is a small Italian restaurant near the cottage we were renting in Leith during our visit to Edinburgh. The food was excellent, the waiter helpful and entertaining and the overall ambiance was fun and relaxing. My sister and I both had one of the evening specials, tagliatelle with prawns and mushrooms and my husband had seafood pasta. I really liked being able to order a smaller sized serving of most dishes. I wish more restaurants had that option. The restaurant was a bit noisy, given it’s compact size, but that was the only drawback. I would definitely return.
Lovely atmosphere with a warm welcome. Traditional Italian family food. Good portion sizes. We were not rushed at all. Good banter and very popular with the locals. So glad we booked it a couple of weeks ago, as it was busy all night and we were a party of 6. Everyone enjoyed their food. Could not fault it.
Lovely small rustic and no nonsense family run Italian Restuarant. If you like pizzas don't come here but instead you will get authentic Italian dishes. I will be back.
Excellent food and great service. We always have a great meal there. Would recommend the spevials as they are always delicous and a good variety
Best quality food we have eaten out in a long time. The staff gave excellent customer service. I will definitely go back in the future.
Excellent food, very tasty and good portions. The staff are super friendly and give very efficient service. Cosy, comfy and clean restaurant. Highly recommend this family-run gem.
Lovely meal, friendly atmosphere, superb service. Our casual dinner for two at Domenico’s was a resounding success. Certainly going to go back in the near future.
Fabulous food and great friendly service.interesting menu and good reasonable price house white wine. It's a small cosy place with a family run feel to it, not at all an anonymous chain.
Great food, the seafood pasta was teaming with seafood, super value at just £11. Many other restaurants would charge way more for such a dish and would contain less seafood. Excellent house red, great value at just £14.50 for a bottle. Lovely wee gem of a restaurant.
Excellent small family run café/restaurant serving authentic Italian food. Staff could not be more helpful. Front counter does roaring take-away lunchtime trade that bears witness to the place’s popularity - there is plenty of competition in this part of Leith. We were still able to enjoy a quiet business lunch in the cosy restaurant and received really good and friendly service at comparatively modest prices. House wine was also a pleasure.
