Fabulous food and great friendly service.interesting menu and good reasonable price house white wine. It's a small cosy place with a family run feel to it, not at all an anonymous chain.

Great food, the seafood pasta was teaming with seafood, super value at just £11. Many other restaurants would charge way more for such a dish and would contain less seafood. Excellent house red, great value at just £14.50 for a bottle. Lovely wee gem of a restaurant.

Excellent small family run café/restaurant serving authentic Italian food. Staff could not be more helpful. Front counter does roaring take-away lunchtime trade that bears witness to the place’s popularity - there is plenty of competition in this part of Leith. We were still able to enjoy a quiet business lunch in the cosy restaurant and received really good and friendly service at comparatively modest prices. House wine was also a pleasure.

Had my boyfriend's birthday dinner here and can't recommend it highly enough. Gorgeous food, lovely, cozy, homely atmosphere and warm, knowledgeable staff (all for v. reasonable prices!). We've lived in the neighborhood for years so can't believe this is the first time we've been. A total gem.

I can not fault Café Domenico - absolutely top service, incredible food and a darn fine house wine! The special of parpadelle with slow cooked rabbit was the best dish I’ve tasted in a long time!

A very pleasant experience. It's a very small cafe with a tiny kitchen so be prepared to wait. The food is worth the wait! We particularly enjoyed the delicious tomato soup. And the house red wine was great!

Tucked away in a corner of Leith this place is small but perfectly formed. Brilliant service and terrific food. Been here many times and it never disappoints. Specials Board is well named as there are always special dishes worth trying and usually great value.

Friendly staff. Very good food. Large portions - too much meat for us. So did not have a dessert. Good coffee. The house wine is good.

OUTSTANDING! Family meal for four early on a Saturday evening. Restaurant is modest in size with a traditional feel and was busy. The menu was not large but is varied (with great specials) and they were happy to adjust a couple of things for our kids. Everything we had was really high quality and cooked to perfection. Service was super friendly and efficient and the price was very reasonable. We went on a recommendation and will definitely be back.

Lovely wee place, only one waiter (being as the place is so small) who was as attentive as possible as it was quite busy. Fairly limited menu but what we ordered was very nice indeed. Not sure it was all worth the £80 paid (two starters, two mains, bottle of wine and coffees)...the main issue that put a bit of a dampener on the evening was a loud(ish) group of 8 who'd had a few already and spoiled the ambience of the place. Would go back but probably for lunch or an earlier dinner.

We had a wonderful meal at this little hidden gem, a small but very authentic Italian restaurant tucked away in Leith. The host Mark and all of the staff were really attentive and could not do enough for us. We had a 3 course meal which was beautiful and be warned plentiful. They serve a wonderful pre-dinner drink prossecco mixed with lemon cello. We had a bottle of the house red which was lovely. The only criticism we had was that it was very warm in the restaurant however Mark assured us that he and his partner had only just took over it was on his 'Jobs to do list'. We did have a shock when we received the bill as it came to £50 which we thought was outstanding value for money! If you are in Leith we would definitely recommend the Cafe Domenico for a meal but our tip would be make sure you're hungry :-)

We had the fixed price menu: starter, main course and dessert. The meatball starter was delicious, but main courses were disappointing. Service was erratic. Even though the restaurant was not busy, a drink we ordered was not brought until we reminded the waitress about 10 minutes later.
