Great spot to go for a bite to eat in Sutton. A great example of classic french cuisine, with very good portions and tasty wine.
I ordered the roast duck with mashed potatoes and puy lentils, and my wife ordered the sea bass - both dishes were excellently cooked and we almost licked our plates clean. Service was good, though we needed to ask for tap water twice.
The waiters are very attentive. The food is excellent. Good wine choice. Lovely decor. It's always a great evening out. Would highly recommend if you love French food.
Good service, on arrival, little area to have a pre dinner drink. Good wine & Good selection of food with specials, all had a good meal, out with friends 4 of us, will be going back, good food.
Very comfortable surroundings. Food excellent and both food wine well priced. Service could have been a little better as had to order one item twice, but overall, very good.
Very attentive service. Food was very good and arrived within reasonable time. Good selection of dishes and wines to suit all tastes. Very knowledgeable staff.
A really lovely meal. We went for the lunch time brunch which everyone enjoyed at a good price. We will certainly be returning very soon.
Nice service, terrible food. Uncooked onions in the onion soup! Tough green beans, dry burger, awful mussels ... The chips were OK, and the big smiles of the staff were charming.
I have walked past Brasserie Vacherin in Sutton for years without being quite aware of it. Only when I searched for French restaurants in Sutton did I realise it was there, but I'm so glad that I did. Service and ambience were excellent. Food was very good. Prices slightly high but acceptable. I'll be back.
Our latest visit, 29th October 16, was our favourite. Food, as always was beyond superb and the waiting staff attentive and keen to make our experience the utmost pleasure. This restaurant really is a jewel in the centre of Sutton. So much so that I am afraid to say too much more lest we find it harder to book a table!
A nice place to go to eat , relaxing surroundings with helpful friendly staff and the food was all good as we tried lots of different dishes and were not disappointed .
had a very nice evening at vacherin mostly excellent food (crab linguine was a bit dry) other than that great service very attentative and good service. thank you for a very nice evening. will be seeing you again
Excellent breakfast. Quality produce, efficient service and a very tasty meal, what more could you want? Highly recommended. Evening dining is also excellent and they do bring your own bottle on a Thursday. It's a bonanza!
Always enjoy the food and wine here. Unfortunately the venison was unavailable but the duck confit was an adequate replacement. The music was a little loud at one point but the waiter was happy to reduce the volume. As a side their gratin dauphinoise is very moorish: you only get a small dish but it's probably just as well. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Lunchtime meal on a Monday. Pleasant atmosphere, attentive and willing service. We had three courses from the a la carte menu. The food was well prepared and delicious. Under £70 for two including service charge and two fruit juices. We were well satisfied.
A very enjoyable night out. The staff were very attentive, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food was excellent, and cooked to a very high standard.
Delicious food, particularly the pork belly main course, and a nice ambience- would certainly recommend Brasserie Vacherin and will go there again in the future.
3 out of the four meals were fine. My friend asked for a medium rump steak, which she sent back as it wasn't cooked as requested. The replacement wasn't a rump steak and was difficult to cut. So she didn't eat it. To his credit, the Manager didn't charge for her meal but then again, she hardly had anything to eat.
Presentation of food attractive and portions generous. However, lot of salt in both starter and main perhaps to ensure more drinks purchased. Decor good and staff attentive.
Lovely meal and excellent service. Very welcoming and no rush to get you to leave, Nice to have a restaurant of this calibre in Sutton.
I was charged for 4 very small pieces of bread and savoury butter that used to be complimentary. This would not entice me to return.
We went on Monday for their steak offer and were not disappointed. Great service and really enjoyed the food, I'm sure we will be back again.
Good service and food. Used 15% discount that they had sent which was good as it's not cheap. Staff tried hard to make sure that we had a nice time. Which we did.
Lovely staff and very attentive but exceptionally expensive and therefore limiting on the menu options! Very clean restaurant. Beautiful surroundings and a good outside area too.
Overall decent....but one of the three mains came out cold,it was returned without fuss...meat was tough in parts and Yorkshire was swimming in Grease. Other mains and courses were nice.. A little surprised nothing was offered or taking off the Bill due to the cold dinner !!
the starters are very good, for the mains we ordered very safe dishes like chicken and beef, so i cannot comment much on the mains, our mains are ok.
Excellent food and service. The staff went out of their way to accommodate a wheelchair at the table. Preferred sitting away from the glass roof section.
Always a good experience with good quality food. The price fixe menu is very good value for lunch. The cod tempura was delicious. They do carafes of wine if you fancy more than one glass.
Good service, great food and very pleasant environment. Attended with friends for lunch on a Travelzoo offer. Great value and plenty of choice on a set menu. Would recommend.
Food very good but services can be a little bit slow. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Love the cocktail happy hour. Would recommend Sutton vasherine
Poor service. Didn't get the main meals correct. Steaks weren't cooked to order. Forgot the bone marrow sauce with one meal but still tried to charge us for it on the bill.
We both really enjoyed the food, although the waitress forgot part of our order, which is surprising given there were only three tables taken in the restaurant. Very good value.
Our party of seven enjoyed the evening. Food and service suited the occasion perfectly. A joy to find a restaurant that doesn't serve up the same old, same old.
We had excellent food, friendly staff a good wine list and a lovely ambience. The menu size is just right to ensure high quality food
Lovely food and good service but seated next to a loud party which spoiled the experience. Will know ro request isolated table next visit. Great to have such a good restaurant locally.
A sophisticated evenings dining in comfortable surroundings, great choice of menu and attentive staff, one of the best in the Sutton area and highly rated.
Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The champagne and wine pairing with the food was also very good. The staff were also very attentive. The only thing missing was the promised Sabrage of the champagne for Bastille Day.
excellent service and food superb. only downside, took a while to get our first drink due to a party of 80. must check next time
Very nice indeed lovely staff very friendly and forth coming , this is the second time around we visit this restaurant and will be back again thank you
Food was excellent and most importantly was served hot not the tepid heat in so many other places. Service was spot on too, would recommend the Sunday brunch menu.
Great food and service in a calm and sophisticated restaurant. So nice to be able to enjoy a meal without feeling you're in a kids club! Would defend recommend for an adult evening out. Perfect!
Nice traditional French restaurant, upmarket café Rouge but with French staff. Service very timely, waiter very attentive. I Will definitely return for either a business lunch or just lunch !
Overall a lovely experience. Service was excellent, food was prompt and hot. Good selection of mains and puddings. Overall, a great night out. We will definitely be booking again
I went on a Tuesday night with my girlfriend and another friend and the restaurant was empty, which is good because the safe could focus more on us. They are extremely polite and always making sure that everything is in order. We all order 3 course meal with cheese tart as starter (very delicious), steak as main (cooked to perfection) and lemon mousse with shortbread. It was my birthday and I have to say that I'm very happy with the restaurant choice
All the party of four commented about how good the food was. Two of our friends from Battersea loved the onion soup. All of us loved the cod tempura. What had all been cooked was very pleasing. The staff who serve at our table were both attentive and friendly and provided prompt service. Three of us who drink red wine were mildly surprised that bottles which we have first ordered were out of stock. But what was our third bottle was a delightful Cabernet Sauvignon from Sicily. After coffee we chatted amicably and only left the restaurant after three hours in enjoyable company. Thank you. What I spent on the whole bill was money well earned by your restaurant including staff. We shall come again.
Fantastic meal, best place to eat in Sutton. Steaks are cooked to perfection, ambience is great and the staff friendly and efficient. Not cheap but as in all things in life you get what you pay for. Going back again soon.
We were there fora surprise birthday lunch - Excellent food - Service was very attentive, although it was not that busy. Had steaks that were cooked to perfection !
Very attentive service and great food. Both of us had steaks which were cooked to perfection and tasted great. Looking forward to my next visit.
Sunday fixed price menu is amazing value , good food and attentive service , will definitely return . Could not understand why the restaurant was not packed as it deserves to be . This restaurant is falling under the radar, it is a gem !
After an uncertain morning at The Royal Marsden, lunch was wonderful for all three of us. The restaurant was understanding and flexible with the times
