Really good service and food excellent, best in Sutton in my opinion. We had lunch with a Groupon voucher so was even better.. We had lunch booked for 1 but sat in the lovely bar area for half an hour with drinks and wernt hurried at all.
The services, food and value were all great. We had a fantastic evening. We look forward to our next visit. A good find for a nice local meal.
Nice food. Very bright lighting - needs to be dimmed. Not many people there, the place seemed to lack atmosphere. Service was good with attentive waiting staff.
Food ok - but they re starting to deliver dishes in smaller and smaller bowls. I like their cooking, but if they carry on down this 'nouvelle cuisine' approach then I wont be going again. Also they automatically added a service charge - appreciate this is quite common these days, but still not a nice thing.
I have tried other items on the menu and enjoyed them but I always return to the duck confit with cherry sauce. It comes with pommes purée but don't let that stop you ordering a side of gratin dauphinoise which are heavenly. They didn't have the Bordeaux I wanted but there was a perfectly adequate Rioja instead. Glad to see it busy last night - we need a choice of good restaurants in Sutton.
Great value lunch on a Travelzoo voucher, all food was tasty and well cooked. Great wine and coffee included. Good service. Would recommend and return again.
Overall very pleasant experience, service particularly v good, cool atmosphere, food nice and half price ! As it was a Monday night not very busy will try a different night to get better experience
Waiter very knowledgeable of the menu. Nice meal with friends. Fish cakes were a little dry and reheated which bloats the old tummy, but what you expect from a fixed price menu of £19.95! Otherall we would visit again
As usual, very good service & food, coupled with excellent & well priced wine list. Only slightly spoils but loud & drunk family at nearby table which obviously not the fault of the restaurant
Great service, food and drink. Went for lunch but felt far away from the busy hustle of the nearby station and streets. Would definitely recommend
Good food, nice ambience. Good food, nice ambience. Good food, nice ambience. Good food, nice ambience. Good food, nice ambience. Good food, nice ambience. Good food, nice ambience.
Very good food and service, as usual. Would definitely recommend. We had breakfast and drinks and everyone was very happy. Have previously had lunch and was equally happy.
Food as good as always but service slower than on previous visits, also menu not as varied as before. I am not sure if this is because prix fixe menu is now a constant rather than ending at 19.00 as before. Does seem more of standard rather than the special treat it once was. This may be a good thing i am not sure but I miss the old ambience and unusual dishes.
The restaurant was lively and food was very good despite my friend's disappointment a month ago. My husband ordered mussles which appeared to be a popular there. I enjoyed a big portion of Tarte Tatin with ice cream. We enjoyed the night!
Overall good food. We waited slightly too long for our dessert. Very pleased with the cosy and homely environment. Staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed very much my steak.
Food was terrible. Mussels were off and we had to send it back. Mains were sub standard and would compare to a takeaway. Service was good though. Won't ever go back there. Very disappointing.
Lovely food, nice atmosphere. Staff very helpful and attentive, let them stay in UK post Brexit! Prix fixe menu very good value. I would recommend this restaurant.
Lovely venue and great quality food just a short hop from the station. Great to meet up with friends and enjoy the afternoon. Would happily return.
We went to Sutton at lunchtime on Saturday. Great food, great service and pleasant surroundings. A nice place to spend a few hours. Enjoyed very much.
We had to remind the waiter about forgotten drinks a couple times other than that service was brilliant and the food was exquisite. I'll be going back and would recommend to anyone
We have been quite few times to this restaurant and went back this time because we have always enjoyed it. Unfortunately our experience was disappointing. I had to argue with the receptionist because she didn;t seem to be able to understand our voucher. The service was so slow and we had to ask three or four times before we finally got our drinks. The steak was tough and gristly. \another one bites the dust!!
Warmly welcomed on arrival. Well mixed cocktail. Attentive service. Good food well cooked. Extensive wine list. Ambiance was good although restaurant not full. Overall good value for money.
Amazing food, great staff. Best restaurant in the area in my humble opinion. I took my girlfriend there for a nice Friday evening meal and we were both delighted with everything. In fact it's hard to put a fault on it. Most certainly recommended.
Excellent Restaurant Brasserie Vacherin is always my first choice of Restaurant in Sutton and surrounding Areas. The food and service is always excellent from beginning to end. The staff are very welcoming and very helpful . Would recommend to anyone looking for a little class in the area .
I have been to Brasserie Vacherin several times before and have always been impressed. We had a very pleasant meal that was very good value with their Monday Steak Club offer
Nice welcome and food very acceptable,... Surprised that the restaurant wasn't very full only about 8 tables taken the Tuesday before Christmas....however we think that could be because the restaurant was very cold. I asked the Maitre D to turn off the air conditioning, he said it was set at 40 degrees but that when people when outside for a smoke they left the back door open. Eventually he turned the aircon off and it was warmer but the machine kept coming on again and when we asked for our bill we also asked for our coats. The set menu was good value for money and our wine choice was perfect...and they did acknowledge our allergies and checked them before we ordered. However not a comfortable evening and no atmosphere in the restaurant.
Brasserie Vacherin in Sutton is lovely place, good ambiance. Great service and pleasant efficient waiting staff. We had an enjoyable Sunday brunch for a tempting menu.
Very good food & service on the night. good value with the half price happy hour drinks & the February discount voucher. Also the Thursday night free corkage is an excellent bonus, so we were able to take a good Bordeaux to enjoy with the meal.
Very nice food and great service. Table right by kitchen and stairs to cellar was disappointing but OK. Nothing more to say really did what you'd expect with ease
My husband and I went there last night and it was a lovely evening. One of us ordered the fixed menu and the other off the a la carte, both meals were of good quality and thoroughly enjoyed. The house red was also enjoyable! Finally, the staff were helpful and attentive even though it was a busy Friday night. I would definitely recommend trying this place.
Very good service and stands out among other local venues for this. Slightly disappointing food menu - not enough variety and a bit tired. Excellent wine menu by contrast. Good ambience. Recommended.
The place is clean, staff are very polite and welcoming. Went for the lunch with work colleagues. We had the Christmas meal. All three courses were very good. I had salmon for starter, sea bream for main, my colleagues had turkey & steak. Presentation was of a good standard. Desert was a pear tart. This is the best desert l have ever had. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
We have been to the Vacherin several times and been very satisfied. We were disappointed on our visit recently on the change of menu which seems more limited in choice of dishes,
Good food, nice friendly staff, convenient location close to Sutton station. A la carte or prix fixe menu, plus daily specials. Happy to recommend to all.
Lovely place to eat. A midweek treat for myself and the hubby. Great food, friendly staff & half price cocktails. Had a great evening thank you.
bit overpriced for the quality, but still good food. I would happily go back as staff were kind and attentive desserts taste fantastic! Prosecco yummy too
Very good food, good environment and friendly staff. Offcourse not much choice for vegetarians and non-alcholic beverages. Overall it is good restaurant but a bit pricey.
The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. I had a lovely starter of pasta with mushrooms. For my main I had burger and fries. The fries were lovely. My friend had fish for the main meal which we thought was overpriced for what it was. We had a bottle of sparkling Mateus rose. I would not have ordered a bottle of Mateus ordinarily but the waitress recommended this and it was a good flavoured sparkling rose wine. Overall, I enjoyed most of my meal and there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant.
absolutely beautiful food and wine! Would recommend highly! Such a nice place and local to where I live. My friend and I enjoyed it very much
The food was delicious. The only reason I did not reward top points was the delay in providing iced water. Every other aspect of our experience was positive.
Wonderful cocktails, lovely accomadating staff, delicious food! What more could you ask for! We opted for the two course Prix Fixe menu, the cheapest option by a long way but weren't treated like cheapskates at all. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
They serve a good, straightforward French meal! The food was good quality including a steak that was tender and just medium-rare as it should be. Good service.
Lovely meal. Great service and choice of food. Good value fixed price menu with nice choices. Good for vegetarians as well good sized portions. Would recommend
Food is always excellent, frequent diners. But they ran out of the popular platter items. Also, no lobster. Also, service was terrible, on this visit. Management were great but waitress made so many mistakes and we had to ask more than twice for certain things like drink top ups, additional bread etc. I will return
Food was amazing, our waiter was so attentive will definitely be back very soon will recommend to all my friends and family thank you to all the staff xx
Charming staff, lovely ambiance. We chose the 3 course set menu for our lunch. Good menu, couldn't fault the food or the bottle of Chilean merlot. Very good value. We will return.
It was quiet and comfortable which was good as my dinner companion and I wanted to chat. The food was fine and the service attentive though you were not very busy. The one slight criticism is that we were not presented with the prix fixe menu, just with the main one. We should have asked.
Great food, friendly and mostly good service (although the initial drinks took too long to arrive as they ended up being brought with the food rather than as aperitif). In general, a very pleasant evening.
Lovely food, great choice and a number of offers always available. Brilliant location and friendly staff. I highly recommend. The steak and fish dishes are particularly outstanding for me.
I would highly recommend this restaurant. Friendly staff and the food is good quality for the price. Relaxed atmosphere even for a drink or in the restaurant.
