We went for Christmas lunch. The Atmosphere was lovely. The food was delicious. The only problem was the time waiting in between courses..and the service was a bit hit and miss..we didn't know who our server was, otherwise, we would have awarded a 6! x

Excellent service but not an extensive menu, especially for someone who doesn't eat meat and hates pasta! Otherwise very nice food and well cooked and presented.

Very nice food, nice atmosphere and music helped us relax while the meal was great. Good value for money for a very posh restaurant and nice to over look the waters.

Really lovely food and the potatoes were to die for! There is a limited menu on a Sunday which isn't flexible. There isn't a child menu so I found it difficult to find something for my toddler.

Myself and my extremely fussy partner both thoroughly enjoyed our meal, its not often he doesn't add salt and pepper so that's a good result.

The service was good , the food & cocktails were great, the only reason it's not a 6 is because one of us was served the wrong meal but it was rectified, all in all a very pleasant birthday meal .

Very good food but service a little slow at times. Plates for mains could be hooter and a hot gravy jug would be an improvement

Food was fantastic as was the ambiance. Service was very attentive and friendly but my wife and I would have preferred a little more time between courses but maybe that is just our personal preference This place is definitely a hidden jem in Middlesbrough This was our first visit but will not be or last

Food was absolutely delicious. The only downside was we asked for a cup of tea 3 times and ended up leaving without receiving the tea. The staff were run off their feet however due to football fans meeting in the bar on their way to the match.

Service and meal was excellent. Our group was a 12 person collection of current employees and retirees. Drinks prior to the meal were delivered quickly. The meal was good and all enjoyed it. Service throughout was good to excellent. There were no significant delays between courses. Overall a very good experience.

My daughter has allergies and on the occasions when we have eaten here they have always provided her with enough choice without the fuss that is often associated with 'sorry we can't do that etc' Food was very flavoursome, service was great. This is obviously a popular choice as a restaurant for good reason the food and ambience is good and you even have Harry Potter books read to you when you go to the toilet.

First time at the restaurant - we were really impressed. Went for a quiet romantic meal with my wife. Ample parking just outside and we left the car there and got a taxi home- this was no problem at all! We were welcomed on arrival and found the atmosphere to be both relaxed and attentive with friendly staff. To cap it all off we went there on a wednesday night and learned on arrival that there would be a 30% reduction to the bill including wine! A welcome treat- we will definitely be back!

Horrendous! Sat near the entrance surrounded by people just drinking, literally had people stood over our table, couldn't have a conversation because it was so noisy, the menu online is NOT what they offer inside despite asking they declined. Just really poor, first and last time
