I ordered a starter of calamari, prawns and scallops - no scallops 😢 The extra calamari & prawns were ok - but because I asked for it to be served with my friend’s main course, the price was increased. I was not told about this 😏 I have to say that although it was pleasant enough it didn’t warrant the £5 price hike ! Dessert was nice but incomplete as the Italian Meringue was missing - the chef’s blow torch was broken ! Overall nice food but over-priced in comparison to other eating establishments in the area. I have eaten here before about 3 times, this was not the best of my experiences but I won’t be unkind, the food was not unpleasant just not wow! Should have followed the waiter’s advice and made a different choice - next time will do 😉 The service, restaurant and wine were excellent 😊
I have eaten here before and have enjoyed each experience. The staff are very friendly and see to you every need, the food is excellent.
Excellent setting, food good value for money, soup could have been a little warmer. Parking easily available. This would be a good place to showcase Middlesbrough.
Expensive evening meal. Wasn’t given the steak/pasta deal as the pasta ordered was from children’s menu. draught lager not available, was charged £4.50 for a bottle of peroni. Poor value for money all round.
Lovely place and great food. Service was also good. Very well positioned for a pre match meal for a Middlesborough game. Will come again soon.
Great restaurant lovely chilled atmosphere and great food . Shame the 30% offer wasn’t one anymore as it might get more people in during the week
Beautiful meal and friendly service. Got vouchers for an anniversary, not disappointed. Lovely location and small menu but really well done. The restaurant has a nice feel. There was a big table but we weren't kept waiting
Popped in with my daughter after we'd had a busy gym morning! Decided to just have a light lunch - but impressed with the offer of a 2 or 3 course meal completed in an hour for those on a working lunch! Impressed to see a nice selection of sandwiches and hot dishes, serving the local lunch market too! We both enjoyed a leisurely, tasty lunch with attentive service. My daughter treated me and I got the loyalty points - win/win!!
It’s always a pleasure to visit Hudson’s Brasserie. Good, friendly service. Meat served pink as default - instead of the usual over cooked, well done, tasteless cardboard served elsewhere - because there’s no demand for rare roast beef. Barbarians!
We really enjoyed our visit here, the food was really lovely, the service was excellent and it was in really pleasant surroundings, would definitely recommend.
As always - A friendly service with great food! The meal was made better by the table having a great view across the dock Thank you
Meal was cold so had to send it back which then affected the flavour. Disappointed with quality of food compared to a visit several months ago.
Excellant food and service, ordered of the market menu at lunch time which was fantastic value for a three course meal and we could watch the seal in the water outside of the window, we will definatley be back very soon
Lovely restaurant and great views. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was excellent value for money especially the sticky toffee pudding, would highly recommend. We will definitely return soon.
First time to this restaurant and very impressed. The staff were both attentive and lovely. The food was excellent and a really good price. Took my elderly mother and she loved it.
Thursday night steak night! Lovely food, lovely place, very friendly staff! Class! Will definitely be recommending this one! Thank you Brasserie Hudson Quey for a very pleasant experience!😊
Great food and a great atmosphere the sticky toffee dessert was delicious but the beef wasn't as good as it normally is. The staff are polite and friendly too.
We went to the Brasserie Hudson Quay for steak night and really enjoyed it,was cooked beautifully and was well worth the money, I also had a gorgeous pudding,
Excellent service and beautiful food. Couldn't ask for better. The surrounding areas may be industrial but the views are lovely especially on a Evening. Definitely be back soon couldn't ask for better. Highly recommended.
Off the beaten track so was difficult to find as no signs until you are at the restaurant. Difficult if you are unfamiliar with area, SatNav took me to the college
Lovely food, unfortunately our little boy was poorly and the staff were extremely helpful of the situation. We couldn't have asked for better service. We will definitely be visiting again.
Lovely Fathers Day lunch at the Brasserie. Had a vegetarian friend with us who loved the mushroom risotto. It was supposed to be a starter but we asked if it could be a main & there was no problem. Puddings were fab!! My mother in particular enjoyed her very large portion of sticky toffee pudding.
Joint Birthday and Father's Day family meal. It was Very quiet, food was ok although a little pricey for what we had. Staff friendly and helpful.
Went for the lunch time market menu, the food was of good quality nicely presented and very tasty. Pleasant service and nice ambiance in the restaurant. Excellent value for money, will definitely return.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff with great service and high quality food. This is the 3rd time I've visited Hudson Quay and never been disappointed, hope to return soon!
Excellent meal and service but expensive. Only complaint was Pil Pil prawns were not true "Pil Pil" as in Spain i.e. not sizzling in garlic and only 3 prawns for £12! But overall a good experience and would return
Great restaurant great food a really good location and friendly staff. Best restaurant in Middlesbrough in my opinion. If your looking for a nice relaxing evening meal this would be my choice
Disappointing. Beef was poor quality and overcooked possibly the way it was regened. Excepted more imagination than peas and carrots for veg. Yorkie looked good but the batter hadn't been seasoned which is a basic error. Great crayfish starter and excellent light sticky toffee pud Good risotto too Great roasties and friendly service
Excellent food with good value for money nice ambience as well .staff were very friendly and attentive.this turned a dead Thursday night into a great evening with friends.
Excellent meal, but as usual, nobody there. Why? First, there is no atmosphere, maybe due to lack of customers. Second, every time you go, the staff have changed, no continuity, no friendly, familiar faces
Great cocktails and nice atmosphere. This is a lovely little bar. The cocktails taste as good as they look. The staff are friendly and helpful
Lovely Sunday lunch, as per usual. Staff are excellent although location is a little out of the way. Becoming my favourite place to have Sunday lunch.
With a family member, food was good service very good. I had lamb which was perfectly cooked, the other diner had the fish and chips which were good
Great little place, shame it's hidden away so much! Been before, will be back again. Great food. Took a while to get attention of the waitress/waiter when required.
The flavour and presentation was lovely but havent been blown away for the price. £26.00 for the Sirloin and £8 cocktails. Quick and friendly service.
On arrival met with a smile and shown straight to our table, nice atmosphere and good service throughout our meal.the food was really nice,my wife had 2 course and I had 3,but was beaten half way through by a excellent sticky toffee pudding.will be back.
Fabulous, .........,wonderful food, my steak was cooked to perfection, excellent setting and very helpful friendly staff. Definately worth going out of your way to visit
Excellent menu choice, good quality food and excellent service in very pleasurable surroundings. The Harry Potter audio book playing in the washrooms was a quirky touch.
Chips over cooked, Do not think they were cooked in beef dripping as menu stated, rest of the meal was lovely ,slightly over priced, service very good
Good food, good wine, calm and efficient service. Love the ambience and the view across the water. I'm surprised it wasn't packed, it should be.
Customer Service was exceptional as was the food. It was my Daughter's 21st and we had Sunday Lunch, the staff really made the visit memorable - Thank You!
This restaurant is all about the views and the fantastic staff. I took my mother for a treat and she was very happy with the ambiance and the service. The food is nice, not quite the same standard as the aforementioned views/staff and it's quite pricey bearing that in mind.
Today, Mothers Day, our family of four enjoyed a lovely meal in a lovely restaurant served by very capable and pleasant staff. Would definitely return
Excellent lunch time menu, service with a friendly smile and a noticeably good view onto the quay. Would definitely recommend for any time of day, however, we unfortunately only had lunch there whilst attending a business meeting but all agreed to definitely be returning for the evening menu. Regards, Liam
Amazing! The food was outstanding, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was just perfect! The only downside was the lack of vegetarian options, but I managed andit doesn't take it away for the amazing experience we had!
We had Sunday lunch to celebrate a big birthday our booking was 15 and we where we'll looked after when we arrived we sat in the bar area and had a drink until we where ready to go to be seated which was nice .once seated our orders where taken , the food came maybe 25/30 mins later hot and tasty very nice .No rush to leave after we'd finished even though we where the last people in there. All in all very good will be back.
Great food and lovely venue. Service was poor after we had finished out desserts. Although we were chatting away quite happily after an hour and a half I one came to ask again if we needed anything or wanted the bill. Once we had the bill one of our party had to go to the bar to pay as the cash had sat for a good 20 minutes and still hadn't been picked up. The restaurant wasn't overly busy at the time . Having said all of that it wouldn't stop me returning
I took my girlfriend on Thursday the 16 for a belated Valentine's meal. The first 2 waiters were lovely and very welcoming. Then our mains came My girlfriend had the fillet steak which we delicious. I had the burger which I asked for no cheese came with it on. We sent it back and got told it would be about 10 mins wait of another waitress who was tall and blonde. Overall my girlfriend had finished before I even got it back then this older women came over and snatched my girlfriends plate and said you having desert? Erm... my partner hasn't eaten his main yet so I said I will wait he hasn't eaten his meal yet. When I got my burger the tall blonde women said I will take this of the bill which didn't actually happen even when we both eat at seperate times for a romantic Valentine's meal so very disappointed!
Took my 90 odd year old mother for lunch. She loved the view over the old dock and the Transporter Bridge. Very friendly service if a bit slow but we were in no rush. Excellent food, obviously fresh vegetables. Unfortunately couldn't try the wine list as I was driving but it has a good variety. Good value and will certainly return.
Had Sunday lunch was first time we had been .food was lovely. staff were nice and friendly with great views over the river . Would definitely recommend to friends.
