Great food. Really nice people and atmosphere. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Still dreaming of that excellent chicken balti. All four of us had delicious food.

Excellent food and great staff very friendly. Onion bahjis and samosas to start very delicious then chicken tikka balti curry all freshly cooked perfect in flavour. Keema garlic nann breads are the best cooked to perfection. Give it a try when you visit York you won’t be disappointed it’s a great. Probably the best Indian restaurant in York and it shows very good reviews on trip advisor check it out for yourself.

My partner and I had a lovely meal at Bombay Spice, taking advantage of the early dining set menu. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The waiting staff were brilliant in their efficiency and service.

Paneer and lamb tikka very tasty.Lots of fresh vegetables in the Veg Vindaloo and a very generous portion of chicken in the garlic chilli chicken dish. Excellent thin and crispy nan bread. Really friendly staff. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Booked our table online which was the right thing to do as the restaraunt was very busy when we arrived. However we were shown to our table straight away. Food was lovely and service great too. Staff very friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant

Having eaten at this Restraunt before and all been well, on my latest visit with 3 friends we were not pleased with the standard of service. The Restraunt had only two more tables with customers so thought we could have a leisurely meal and enjoy the food but on this occasion the staff were reaching over us while we were eating picking up forks we were not using, pulling a small menu from under a container of food while we ate and no sooner had we stopped for a break the table was emptied including a naan bread which was not finished with. The food was ok but not to usual standard. Will think twice before going back, there are a lot of good Restraunts to choose from in York.

2 of us said the food was bland. Poor decor. Scruffy waiters. Not good at all. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc.

First time visiting, my food was amazing however my partners prawn curry was not. His prawns were under cooked (almost raw) which is really off putting. A bit pricey for what we had too.

The service was very fast, if a little on the brusque side. The food was good, but some of the 'medium' dishes would be better described as mild. The Early Bird Menu is reasonably priced and the restaurant was spotless.

Food good. Service efficient. Restaurant clean. Staff reluctant to accept Dine discount without causing a fuss. A a a a a a a a a.

The service wasn't great, no one greated us and a staff member barged past us with no apology! The medium spice curry was not at all spicy, quite disappointing.

The food here was excellent, as was the service. The staff were all really friendly and the food came quickly despite the restaurant being pretty much full. I would definitely return next time I'm in York.

Starter was really quite big but not quite as tasty as the main courses were-these were more than reasonable portion sizes. The chicken in the mains was extremely tender and much better quality than we usually find in Indian restaurants. Would go to Bombay Soice again if/when back in York! :)

Food was good and the complimentary whisky was a nice touch but we used the meercat and they didnt do the 2-4-1 on the starters

Great friendly service, such fabulous food & wide choice :) They took my allergy seriously. A great evening, and we’ll be back next year if not before.

Sorry no flavour at all, I have tasted better Indian food from a supermarket take out, won’t be back. Mediocre would be the word best to describe.

Half our parties food was fine. The rest poor quality and bland. The chicken was clearly frozen chunks , tough and tasteless. Service not great either.

Excellent restaurant. It was our first visit, but we will certainly visit again the next time we are in York. The food was delicious and the staff welcoming and friendly.

Excellent food and good service what more could you want. Traditional Indian food that is well presented and unlike a lot of Indian restaurants the food wasn't that horrible blood red colour.

Nice decor, good background music, welcoming staff, stunning food, best naan I've had. The early diner meal was incredible value. Complementary after dinner drinks and the staff were friendly and helpful all the way through

Fantastic food and service. Would definetly recommend it to anyone who wants fantastic Indian food the staff couldn't have done anything else to make us feel more welcome

Noting previous positive reviews of this restaurant, we decided to drive 10 miles to come here. But it really wasn't worth it, as the food wasn't very good at all. Bright orange but not very tasty butter chicken, a chef's special lamb dish that was meant to be spicy (2 chillies) but bizarrely seemed to have pieces of orange peel in it. Tarka dal was the only nice thing, and overall a disappointing experience.

Great food, freshly cooked. f. The prices are very reasonable for such high quality food preparation. Ali and his very friendly staff complete what is a very pleasant experience. John C

Highly reccomend - excellent food and service although a little noisey as stag and hen groups in town which were not the fault of the restaurant.

The food was okay - pretty tasty & given a large, the service was good. Downside was it's a little pricey for what it is & drinks are silly expensive.

Very rude staff. Not at all friendly and snatched the tip from me without a thank you. Toilets were dirty with vomit on the floor. Toilet cleaners were stored in the same place as the cutlery and some tableware. Food was good but the overall service and the rudeness of the staff totally spoilt the whole evening. Would not recommend.
