Very good. Service was spot on and the food a big improvement on last time. Restored my faith in Lucia's as my last experience wasn't great. Bit noisy though, and is there really any need to have the BBC News on big screens?
The starters took 40 minutes to come out. The mains - chicken parmo was just lots of cheese and no chicken. The ribs had no meat on at all and for £16 it was not worth it and the person eating it gave up!. The grilled chicken was meant to have blue cheese sauce but they forgot which came out 10 minutes after. The service wasn't really with a smile and no apology for the wait. We were really disappointed as some of the guests were from 100s of miles away visiting and it was their first time trying the Middlesbrough Parmesan which was really poor. It was really hard to part with £160 to pay for something that wasn't nice.
Pleasant atmosphere and good service. Our first visit at Lucias and I've got to say I really enjoyed it. The food was nice and it was reasonably priced. We will be paying a visit back to Lucias soon.
Terrible service. Desert never arrived but included in the bill. Dint look like anyone cared. Wont be rushing back, far nicer places in Yarm to go.
Food was absolutely gorgeous and staff where friendly and cheerful. Would definitely recommend. 2 courses between 5-6.30pm was brilliant value for money. See you again soon!
The food was good as was the service. It was a little too loud to carry on a conversation, but everyone was having fun so that was okay.
Steak was the fattiest piece of meat I have ever been served. It was like cutting rubber with a blunt cartoon knife, I physically couldn't cut it never mind eat it. Complete waste of time and effort. Initially I was offered a complimentary glass of wine to compensate the £25.50 (including £2.50 bland blue cheese sauce) to which I refused, requesting that I would rather not pay for something that I cannot eat. The only positive was that the polite waitress Kindly removed the whole meal from the final bill without any fuss. Other food ordered was pretty average. - Parmo chicken was very thick - they obviously don't make calzone very often - chips were very greasy and soggy - warm chocolate fudge cake was cold Positives: - the fish looked nice - friendly staff All in all. I don't think much of the food is cooked to order and if it's busy the kitchen staff struggle. If you have an unfussy dog at home, then you should have a decent portion to bag up and take with you. Our dog is a bit of a snob though and would probably take it to the garden and bury it.
Excellent food and friendly staff! Thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Mother's Day there. Reasonably priced and booking made easy by online facilities. Highly recommend especially to families with young children!!
I had a medium rare steak which was very nice my wife had a well done steak which she said was very nice and my son had the chicken Parmesan which looked really nice but had very little taste
Great location, great atmosphere. Food was excellent, service was excellent, couldn't fault them, great Birthday treat, even with free Lemoncello at the end because it was my birthday
Great food and atmosphere. Friendly staff, will definitely be going back! Prices are reasonable and food comes out looking great and tasting amazing. Very good.
Love it here, we try to make sure we come atleast once a week, food is always perfect and the staff are aswell, keep it up
Lovely food and very friendly staff. Although it was busy, the service was excellent and we didn't wait very long for our food to arrive.
Sea bass was excellent, sea bream the special of the day was only average-fish dry, potatoes undercooked;the pizza margarita was mediocre. We had a lunch time special here about a month ago and by comparison the food was both better and much less expensive.
Our meals were all excellent quick efficient service , ordered garlic bread to come as a starter which arrived with our mains . The Only fault !
The restaurant itself was really beautiful and had such a lovely atmosphere. The food was lovely and the staff were really friendly, would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Lovely atmosphere & great food. Would definitely visit Lucia's Italian Kitchen again! Staff are very friendly & attentive. Big portions too, so you definitely get your money's worth!
Lovely meal and atmosphere. Even though it was extremely busy staff were very attentive. We had the tea time special, making it a great value evening. Will definitely return.
The food was excellent just a couple of small problems stopped us giving a maximum score. On arrival we were seated near a large very noisy party but the staff quickly moved us to a quieter part of the restaurant and when paying the bill the card machine did not work meaning I had to go outside to the local cash machine to get enough cash to pay the bill. Due to the card machine issue we left a smaller tip than we would normally give.
I have visited Lucia's several times, each time meal has been great. Unfortunately this time we waited 45minutes for our meal after ordering, atmosphere was great, staff very friendly but when our meal arrived my meal did not seem to all go together, I ordered the lamb which came with potatoes, asparagus, cous cous and a light gravy. The lamb was very fatty which I know that lamb can be, but stated on the menu as 'lamb rump'. I really love Lucia's but feel this needs to be addressed due to having such great previous experiences.
Fantastic food, great choice and excellent service even on a very busy Saturday early evening. We had the anti pasti to start & I had Seabass which was beautifully cooked. Too full for desert! 👍😄
Excellent service, lovely atmosphere would definitely recommend and will definitely come again
Lovely meal, and very friendly and attentive service!! Varied menu, including pastas, pizzas and some lovely a la carte options! Would highly recommend a visit.
Everyone who went enjoyed the food and friendly staff. Sea bass lovely and fiery Pizza red hot with nice Patmos. No qualms about a revisit 👍
we had an excellent time food was great, service excellent, good value for money, great atmosphere, in my opinion the best restaurant in Yarm all in all top notch.
A few things not on the menu - it was a quiet Sunday so I get why certain produce not in stock. Staff very helpful and the kids pizzas were nice. Pasta had by adults was okay and nothing overly special. Starters were also okay - olives seemed like they were supermarket tinned ones - admittedly olives were not a starter option (they happily gave us as a starter option) so perhaps an ingredient for dishes therefore no need to be posh ones, calamari and bruscheta was again nice. All in all a good standard of food and good service.
enjoyable catch up with a friend, food excellent as always, staff friendly and attentive, lovely place all round will definitely be back and will recommend
A lovely place to eat, we had the teatime special - 3 courses for £12.95 and we thought as it was a deal the portions would be smaller than normal however this was not the case. We loved every part of our meal, service was prompt and attentive without being too overbearing or feeling rushed. We will be going back.
We have been to Lucias kitchen a number of times, the food is always excellent and very good value for money. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great setting in a love village. Friendly staff and great atmosphere
Lovely well cooked food. Good choice. Great service. Value for money. Nice lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Limencello martini cocktail was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend.
Nothing better than an early tea at Lucia's with the kids. Our favourite place to eat. Always great food. Always a lovely atmosphere. Thanks Lucia's 👍🏻
We had a lovely meal at Lucia's on New years, food was fab and cocktails were great too! Staff were friendly and we couldn't fault anything!
Great food as always - but the service was unusually slow for some reason. The "catch of the day" was really good - highly recommended.
Great food & fantastic cocktails as always. Watch out for the 10% optional service charge though, which is automatically added to the bill throughout December.
Food and service was excellent! Garlic mushrooms were gorgeous, chicken liver pate was great, but only 1 portion available. Lasagna was tasty, as was the risotto - which was full of big tender chunks of beef - & it was a huge portion!
The menu was restricted and needs more choice. They tried to add on a £15 service charge which was firstly excessive and secondly the service did not warrant it so we asked for this to be removed. Because of the way this had just been added to our bill, we did not even leave a tip out of principle. I thought that the restaurant was expensive in comparison to other restaurants in Yarm. The food was nice.
Ok average food, nice decor and Christmas decks disappointed to be charged for child's cordial £2 ... never had that before in a restaurant maybe go back minus kids
Lucia's has a lively atmosphere (especially near to Christmas), the food is very good and I would say good value for money. Our table was quite close to a noisy Christmas party but this did not detract from an enjoyable evening.
Fabulous atmosphere, excellent food, friendly staff.....a perfect recipe for a great night. I would recommend this place to anyone, and can't wait to return again.
EXCELLENT FOOD, AS USUAL GREAT SERVICE AND PRICES VERY REASONABLE. HAVE BEEN HERE SEVERAL TIMES AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANY COMPLAINTS. WILL BE BACK AGAIN SOON.
The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were brilliant, very willing to help and attentive. Booking a table was easy, even on a busy Saturday evening
excellent atmosphere, food good and friendly efficient service, But house white (pinot grigio) a rip off at just under £19 and chunky chips weren't chunky and under cooked. Rest of the served food was well presented and tasty.
Excellent service. The reminder was good. The choice on the menu as good. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gluten free options were good
Lovely meal with family. Great food, I had the carbonara ,lovely attentive friendly staff. Recommend the Italian nut job cocktail gorgeous. Will definitely go again
Very disappointing experience,3 of the meals we ordered were unavailable. 2 bottles of wine that we ordered were also unavailable! We had a pretty similar experience a couple of years ago so, shows nothing has improved.
Lucias had really lovely food, the staff were very attentive and the venue has a great atmosphere. Everything was very well priced and came out promptly.
Excellent food and service. Everyone was very helpful especially with our 2 year old. Food was excellent in quantity and quality.would definnately return to restaurant
Had the tea-time special. Good service and most things were fine. However, my Meaty Calzone was under-cooked and cold - well below the usual standard.
The food was great and I couldn't fault the service, our needs were met in good time and we left extremely happy. I Would definitely recommend to friends.
