Bistro Saigon

This was a first visit for my wife and I both of us found the experience an extremely pleasant one both regarding the food on offer and the service provided. We would certainly come again and recommend the restaurant to our friends.

Spectacularly great food. Started with the Veggie Spring rolls and had the Thai yellow curry for the main. All fresh cooked, super tasty and great staff. What's not to like????

Place is nice and looks clean. We were seated in the basement area which was fine, but personally I prefer a room with a window. My girlfriend had the veg spring rolls to start and they were good, my sweet potato patties less so as I hadn’t expected them to essentially be batons fried together in 3 lumps. I challenge anyone to eat them with chopsticks. We both had variations of the same thing for the main course which was the chilli stir fry, both agreed it was nice. The service was a bit odd on the night, not bad just a little odd. For example they brought the bill twice in the space of a minute. When paying, the waiter sat down next to my girlfriend and proceeded to tell how busy he’d been. Pretty sure that was just a lapse. Would I go back? Yes but I’m not in a rush. We had a pleasant time and I wouldn’t put anyone off.

One of the best Pho I have ever had. Great service and great food!! Really fresh with great flavour. Would definitely eat here again !

Bistro Saigon offers amazing cocktails, stunning food and lovely attentive staff. All in all a very enjoyable evening. Also great value for money. We will return.

We were attended to soon after entering the restaurant and there was a nice buzz about the place from the off... we were unfortunately put at the only badly positioned table in the house. We asked to move and they obliged without question! After that everything was near perfect! The service, the food and the atmosphere. We will become regulars..

Friendly staff with a very well presented table. All staff had a happy to help attitude throughout the meal. Good pricing structure with everything shown clearly on the menus

Excellent food. Couldn’t fault it. Experience ruined by the very slow service and lack of communication. We were told when we arrived the kitchen was backed up and starters would likely be 30-40 minutes. Took nearly an hour and no offer of a free drink or anything. After the meal we had to go searching for a waiter to pay our bill and still no token offer of anything to compensate for our wait.

Pretty busy for a rainy Tuesday night in October. Fab, fresh, vibrant tasting food as always. No starters, but two delicious vegan tofu based mains which were plenty on this occasion. Two plates of heavenly flavours with sticky rice. Perfect! The staff were pretty good too, attentive and pleasant. It's a favourite already, but it definitely didn't disappoint this time. Which, when you're taking someone there for the first time and you've given it a great build up, makes it even better.

As always great food and a large variety to choose from. Flavours of each dish were brilliant.

Food incredible - I’m not vegetarian but picked a vegetarian option. It was one of the nicest dishes I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommended!

Great food - every dish we tried was amazing - but the service was a little slow, even allowing for it being on a busy Saturday night.

Excellent service and with food to match. We were unexpectedly joined by a friend but the staff were happy to accommodate even though it was a busy, and full, Saturday evening. Highly receommended

From entering the restaurant we were given & warm welcome & all the staff were friendly & helpful. The food was fabulous. Definitely recommend & we will be returning soon.

Even though we were thirty minutes late, it was no problem. It was the first time we had visited and the staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful. The food was freshly cooked and delicious, so flavoursome. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it.

This was my 2nd visit to this restaurant & it was just as good 2nd time around. The food & wine are superb and the service is efficient, helpful & friendly. I only wish I lived nearer as I'd be a regular but can only visit when on holiday in the area. I love every thing about Bistro Saigon & have already recommended to friends who have also been & concur with all of the above.

Always excellent food. Great menu & i would recommend the mixed starter & either of the duck dishes. Open lunchtimes as well as in the evenings.

Starter player was amazing, ribs, chicken wings, squid, sweet potatoe patties and spring rolls - delightful, for main we had lime and ginger duck and sea bass, both succulent and delicious and price wise great for the for the standard xx

Always a great atmosphere and the food is immense- not a bad thing on the menu, the starter platter is Devine and a great way to taste a few starters

Lovely food good choice of spicy and no spicy meals and varied flavours, good portion sizes didn't feel over faced excellent staff very helpful and attentive very worth a visit

Fantastic food and friendly service. We had a sharing platter of starters and then a main each. Generous portion sizes and incredibly tasty food. Not too loud for elderly relatives either which is a bonus!

Tatty old menus. Delayed food but they compensated with a free starter. Food rather sweet. It's always been a lovely venue to eat in Ilkley.

The food and service at this Vietnamese restaurant is excellent and well worth a visit. Try to book a table in the main restaurant but don't leave it to the last minute as demand is very high at this restaurant.

The best meal out in a long time. Will be frequenting this establishment more often. The quality of food, service and friendly atmosphere is a credit to all the staff.

Brought wrong food and hen correct order arrived we didn't like the beef dish. Also bowls were cold so we didn't use them. Aye from larger dishes

A warm friendly welcome, waiter and waitress attentive but not obtrusive. The food was delicious, nicely presented presented, all the courses were delicious. The food never fails to delight the palate.

The food was excellent, but the experience was slightly marred by. slow service. the staff worked very hard but there were too few of them for efficiency

Another lovely evening at bistro Saigon. The food as always was exceptional. We had the mixed platter to start where you pick 5 different starters and I feel this offers fantastic value for money! Followed by the Thai green and crispy mango chicken which were both fantastic. Staff were attentive as ever.

Very tasty starters and a good selection of main dishes. Service was courteous and prompt and I liked the new decor that had been introduced.

Another wonderful evening, Bistro Saigon has to be my favourite restaurant in Ilkley. It has many winning qualities; the staff are always attentive and there is a wide menu choice, even for vegetarian options. The top one however has to be the amount of flavour they pack into every dish. We'll certainly be back

Lovely freshly prepared food as always with the sharing starter being especially tasty, and the service is always spot on too..very polite and helpful staff

Six people for dinner. All ordered something different, and then tasted each others'. Excellent all around the table for both courses. No room for dessert.
