What a great evening! Firstly the exciting choice of gins and mixers along with the extensive knowledge of the barman, we enjoyed new brands and combinations !! The service was lovely and friendly and quite honestly our Seabass was to die for, totally delicious!!! Very much looking forward to coming back!!

Service was slow considering they were not busy, both main courses were delivered but forgot my wife's veg until we asked after 5 minutes, cold food, have eaten here many times before this was our worst experience

Food and service excellent. Although very busy with 2 or 3 large parties the staff were attentive to our needs. Will definitely be returning again.

I had never been to the Bird In Hand. The experience was lovely. I went with my sister no had been before. She had already spoken to me about the food and how amazing it was. My review is lovely decor very inviting and comfortable. Calming atmosphere. The service was very good. Service with a smile and they really care about your needs. Food was just spot on no wastage and even made room for pudding. All very tasty. Portions just correct more a la carte. Not typical pub meal so if you are expecting large portions don't go. Reasonably priced I thought and food was very hot and just how it should be not cold like regular pub meals but like I said no ordinary pub. Would go back and would recommend even as a treat for someone special or family affair. No complaints. Did not get a chance to try the cocktails either as driving. Will try next time. 🙂

Very nice. Bread missed from antipasti starter but once I had said to the waitress, starter given for half price and staff very apologetic. Good choice of gin too!

We enjoyed our evening. There is a great and long gin cocktail menu, but a much shorter food one. Food was lovely. The staff that we encountered were excellent. On Friday evenings, this is a very busy pub / restaurant, so you need to book.

Nice Sunday carver with swift service and attentive staff. Booked for midday and glad I did as it got very busy and people who just turned ip had to wait for an hour at the bar before being seated. Would definitely recommend it.

Great service in a lovely setting with delicious food, we had full english breakfast in the garden followed by a lovely country walk with the dog. A bit pricey but enjoyed eating out at the bird in hand very much

The food and service was very good, the only reason for not awarding a 6 is that it was very noisy especially for the first part of the meal. The tables are far too close.

We had a super time at The Bird in Hand and spent a lot of time in the garden on this visit. Staff couldn’t do enough for us especially when we started to get a little cooler and they got heaters out in the garden area!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a very nice meal. The restaurant was very busy but we had good service and we used our loyalty card.

We visited here as we were staying in nearby Denmead as we were attending the Festival of Speed. Decent food selection, prompt service but very quiet at 7pm on a Saturday evening. We probably won’t visit again as we are not from the area.

On entering the Bird in Hand we were immediately given our booked table. Service, drinks and food all excellent. A perfect evening, finished off with one of their many gins.

Great atmosphere, great service and great food. My wife and I always enjoy it there and we will be going back again.. I want to mention Luke in particular as he did a great job.

Enjoyable evening. Great food, and swift service. Some inexperience amongst staff ... some customer service training would be of benefit e.g. in how to approach a table to enquire if you have finished ... so rather than bounding up and interrupting a conversation to say 'Can I take these?' whilst actually grabbing the plates, a more gentle 'Excuse me, are you finished? Would you like me to clear your table for you?' might be more welcome.

Good food but slow service although not busy. Too much chatting by staff. Not enough attention. Also what happened to the flavours butter. This was a point of difference.

Service was very good and very friendly. The food was outstanding, the wine was very nice but very ex[pensive for what it was. Overall a very good experience but the wine is definitely well over priced.

Seated in garden. Plenty of space and choice. Staff all very pleasant and helpful.

My food wasn't great the pork was very bland looking and tasting. The fish dishes were good as was the desserts. The staff wete very good

We only discovered The Bird in Hand in November 2017 and have been several times since. Good food, decent portions and friendly staff. What's not to like?

Excellent service, food and drinks. The staff were excellent and dealt very well with my elderly in-laws. I would have liked to have seen more vegetarian / vegan options on the menu, but there was something for everyone.

The Bird in Hand always has a great menu with plenty of choice and the staff are well informed and friendly. The restaurant and bar are well decorated decorated and while generally busy never feels too crowded. There is always plenty of parking too.

Great food and lovely atmosphere. We had the camembert and sharing roast platter and were too full to think about dessert! Also excellent selection of gins.

Lovely, the food and service was excellent, and there was a lovely atmosphere, although it was a very chilly Spring evening the pub was nice and cosey, which is not often found this time of year as understandably businesses start to turn their heating off. Would definitely recommend, and return.
