Great Sunday roasts. Struggled to finish them. Very friendly service. Difficult to carry on a conversation as all the hard surfaces and a busy lunchtime service made it very noisy.

The restaurant was packed today, so service was slower than usual. The wIting staff were pleasant and very apologetic. The roast lamb was lovely, but the rhubarb crumble was deconstructed and disappointing. I eat here often and this won’t put me off going back.

Very nicely decorated. Friendly service. Busy and good atmosphere. Food lovely. They were very kind and refunded the price of a meal for an elderly friend who couldn't eat what they had chosen.

I Went there for my birthday and absolutely loved it. Lovely atmosphere, amazing food, friendly staff! Would definitely recommend it. I would definitely go again.

Lovely atmosphere with some large family parties. Service was perfect and done with a smile and willingness to do anything needed. Food very good - we had scraped plates! I would definitely recommend to all - a little treasure.

The food was excellent and well presented. Equally important, the service was excellent in two areas - helpful and very friendly. We eat at the ‘Bird’ often and each time we leave with a pleasant experience.

Fantastic food at this lovely pub where the atmosphere is always good. Had really good service on a very busy Saturday night. Highly recommended and will certainly go back.

The food was excellent as was the service. I requested a move from our prebooked table to a quieter area as there was a large party of young people having a good time rather loudly. We were moved immediately and therefore enjoyed our lunch much more as we were able to hear each other. We will and have already recommended The Bird in Hand to many other local and not so local people.

Booked a table for the family, all had a lovely meal, help given with choice from menu for expectant mum. The guys both had steaks, best ever tasted in this country.

We had a great night at the Bird in Hand and the food was amazing and the staff were all excellent. we can't wait to go again.

Great food and excellent service at reasonable prices.Lovely atmosphere. Requested a round table as we were 5 people and they gave it to us which was nice. Good selection of choices for gluten free customers too. We had a really lovely lunch. Would thoroughly recommend it.

We had good service and a very good meal in the nice pub restaurant. The building is very nice. We have been there a number of times and it is always very good.

Between us, had the calves liver, veggie burger, Eton Mess and Ice Cream. Horsell beer good. Excellent food and service at a reasonable price, in a pleasant environment. Would definitely go again.

The Bird in Hand provides excellent food and service. We enjoyed the burger, duck and vegetarian. It was my second visit and I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant

The food was stunning and service was exceptional! The waiter gave advise for what to choose from the menu and the Mushroom Wellington was divine. Will certainly come here more often!

Great lunch today with 5 friends. Excellent range of food - we tried a wide variety of dishes and everyone in our party was impressed. Attentive polite service. Reasonable prices for a high quality pub, we had 2 courses plus drinks for about £25 each (which included tip). I’d recommend the chorizo or black pudding starters - fantastic! Main-wise the fish cakes were excellent and the hot wraps. Local Horsell Brewery real ales made a great accompaniment.

Food is delicious! I love this place - my friend brought her husband over from Cranleigh because she kept driving him MMA’s by raving about it - and it didn’t disappoint.

We had a fabulous meal and it was my birthday so got my dessert with a lovely message in chocolate which was a great touch.

An excellent meal as always. The food and service cannot be faulted. The specials are varied and the fish is always extremely fresh. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

The place had fantastic atmosphere and a buzz around the pub. My evening was spoilt really as I became unwell so ruined the whole experience so we will definitely return as the variety and selection of food looked superb. Gutted about the whole experience due to my illness which had nothing to do with the food but that is the only reason I marked it down.

A really welcoming pub with excellent food and well kept beers. The menu was varied and fairly priced and the wine list was also good What more could you ask for?

Warm welcome by staff and excellent service. Food was good and reasonably priced, my only criticism was that there was too much foliage on the plate for my taste

The food was excellent, but the service could have been a bit more attentive. After being served our main meal it was very difficult to get the attention of staff to order additional drinks or dessert. Overall though, we would certainly return again.

Lacked service, considering we were the first table in the restaurant we weren't really looked after. Couple of things weren't quite right and yet there was no apology. On ordering two expensive bottles of champagne not once did the waiter come over and pour our champagne nor did he engaged in any conversation. On a £260. bill for just three people I would of expected a little better service. Probably wouldn't rush back just because of lack of service

Great food and friendly staff for Sunday lunch today. I got served a bad pint of beer but otherwise excellent. Never been disappointed coming here.

Whilst our food was delicious unfortunately our first course of soup was cold which had to be sent back and our second course of roast dinners also a cold and had to be sent back. The staff were very apologetic and I could not fault the service we received by way of compensation our bill was reduced by 20% and we were given Vouchers to cover another mail for at least four people. I would definitely go again the surroundings and the atmosphere was very pleasant it was just unfortunate that the food was cold though as I have said this was remedied immediately

Great staff, lovely food very well presented in a lovely atmosphere. Sunday roast good value, but you need to book. Try the home made Nachos, they are just too good !

The lunch menu was excellent value. The food was superb and beautiful presented. Staff were polite, helpful, friendly and happy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant/pub.

Lovely food and wine but unfortunately very long wait for every course. Very enjoyable first visit will be coming back but maybe without children so they don't get bored waiting

Easy to book. Food was hot and very well presented. The staff made us feel welcome and had a secure place to keep our coats.
