First visit and I found there was a very good selection of food. Food was hot and always plenty at the buffet station. Lovely options for dessert too. Overall impressed and would return.

Some members of staff could have been more polite. Didn't even sit down and they were asking us what we wanted to drink. I would've liked more time to look at the drinks menu first

We booked a table for 6 to celebrate my fathers Birthday and Mother’s Day (which unfortunately fell on the same day), we booked a few weeks in advance to ensure we could get a table for the special occasions. Unfortunately on arrival we were informed that there was no table available within the main ground floor area and was shown upstairs. At this point we were the only ones upstairs so there was no atmosphere, the area was cold (the heating was put on for us ) but the most worrying was my parents (who are both in their 70’s) were now forced to carry their buffet food from the ground floor to first floor area up the stairs. We asked if we could wait for a ground floor table but was informed this could take 2 hours to become available (which wasn’t the case as we seen tables empty within half hour). We chose to stay and reluctantly accept the situation knowing everywhere else would be booked up - being Mothers Day. This whole situation was very disappointing and has put us all off from returning. If you do book and don’t want to sit upstairs I would specifically request this, we were unaware of an upstairs so be warned. The food was constantly being replenished and satisfactory

Customer service needs improving....Once shown to our tabe no member of staff took any interest, we decided for ourselves to all (table of 15) have buffet as wasnt shown a menu or given a choice but food was excellent and great value for money. Once the bill had been paid (nearly £200) & getting ready to leave we were told an extra £4 needed to be paid as staff had made a mistake - hence no tip left. Very disappointed in the atmosphere, won't visit again in a hurry even though lovely food.

Bengal Cwmru is easy to find, good parking spaces, inside it is very clean and beautifully decorated . The staff are very polite and well presented . the food was excellent and had plenty of choice will definitely go back

Fantastic food, plenty there to eat. The service from the staff was 5* they work really hard there nothing too much trouble. The desserts were amazing

My first trip to this restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed the curries, a good selection on offer. All staff were very polite & helpful. Will visit again during the week when possibly not so busy.

Great food, the environment was a little too loud for me and I felt very crampt where we were seated but it was a Saturday night. I did ask for a glass of tap water but this never arrived. The carpark is tiny and we got blocked in at the end. I think I'd go again but not on a Saturday night and ask to be seated in a different area. I'd also take my own water 😂

Booked table but not available when we arrived had to wait. Table too small could not comfortably get everything on. Very noisy. Balti supposed to be mild as I do not like hot curries it was HOT.

Good atmosphere. Busy but didn't feel overcrowded. Friendly staff prompt service. The selection of food was suitable for all tastes and was great way to try something new. Will definitely be going back.

Great selection of food ready to go. Tried new dishes that perhaps wouldn't have done in the past. Something there for everyone. Be prepared to fill your boots if you decide on the buffet as its not that cheap.

Excellent choice of tasty starters and mains, good quick service friendly staff. Would have given 6 but disappointed with desserts would have hoped for some Indian desserts, kulfi etc

Lovely buffet food with a variety of tasty dishes! Staff are friendly and helpful and therre were chicken nuggets and chips for children! Will definitely cone again.

Really good meal, We all had the buffet and the choice was impressive and all the dishes we tried were really nice. We will definitely be returning for another meal.

Not eaten at this place for months yet the staff remembered I was vegetarian and sorted me out with a starter and main fir the buffet straight away. Would recommend to others anytime.

One of the best Indian restaurant in Risca. Great venue, great service, awesome atmosphere and above all fantastic tasting food. I’m also impressed with their booking system. You can book online and over the phone and it’s guaranteed a booking. I recommend everyone try Bengal Cymru

Had a lovely meal at the Bengal in Risca. Our first visit and really enjoyed the food, service and cleanliness of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend the buffet.

We aways have the Buffet as our preference isfor small portions of a variety of dishes. This was our Christmas day lunch and as always the dishes are freshly prepared and replenished frequently. The chefs are excellent and produce a wide variety of dishes to try, all good. The front of house staff are friendly and attentive and add to the experience. We are now regular customers as a result. Well worth a try as they also do dishes to order if buffets are not to your liking

This is a new Indian restaurant in the area and one we will definitely be returning to. Superb service and a lovely relaxed but modern environment. We had the buffet and curries were interesting and very tasty. Great value for money. You will not be disappointed. Reasonable prices for drinks and good range of desserts.

Beautiful food with a great selection even for children which is hard to come by at an Indian restaurant. Great service and fantastic price. Will definitely visit again.

The meal was nice, drinks price good for a restaurant. Disappointed that tandoori chicken on the bone was not included in the buffet, had to pay extra. In my opinion, its part of Indian food and should be included in the buffet, just like spare ribs are included at a Chinese restaurant buffet.

It was a lovely meal and the service was good as always, each time I visit I find it quite noisy maybe I’m picking the wrong evening to go, always go on a Sunday evening.

We had the buffet. Friendly staff, good choice of food including a good choice for children. Loads of choices for desserts, good atmosphere. Definitely going there again.

Lovely food and very friendly staff who were helpful and could not do more for you. The dessert station for kids is a great ideas.
