I Recommend it 100% such a lovely restaurant and delicious food so many to choose from,stuff very friendly, one of the best Indian restaurant by far.

Love this restaurant. Staff are very friendly and attentive food is excellent quality and drinks are reasonably priced. We go on a regular basis as a family and are made to feel welcome every time. I absolutely recommend it.

The service was excellent, the waiter even remembered that I had an allergy to prawns. The food was very good and the whole evening was good. We will definitely be back.

Very welcoming staff. Relaxed atmosphere. We were never rushed. like you can be elsewhere. Only half hour drive from where we stayed the weekend, so overall a very good experience. Would recommend.

As always we had a very warm welcome,and excellent service. The food was its usual high standard, and extremely tasty. Will book again to revisit soon!

Food was great and the service was faultless highly reccomend four of us went for the meal and not one person had a negative comment .

The food was very well prepared. we had several different dishes all very nice . six of us ate and all pleased we did even a four year tried for the first time and loved the chicken tikka will definitely visit again

The restaurant was a bit shabby ( carpets were really grubby) food not great no air con so make sure it's not a hot day if you do decide to visit . Would I go back a decisive NO is the answer.

Basic inside but good food with some good specialities available. Good friendly service. Could do with some fans or air conditioning in the summer as very warm.

Great food with a good range of choices. Efficient and friendly service and overall a nice atmosphere in which to dine. We have visited several times and have never been let down.

It was very very cold in the Restaurant. The usually recommend some share plates but this time they let us hang loose. We were the only customers and it looks like the would be happy when we go as fast as possible.

A mid week visit. Great food and service. I had the chicken tikka biryani & my husband had the chicken tikka balti; both delicious. Left feeling full and will visit again.

Not as nice as last year,i do not know if you have changed hands and chef or not but NOT as good. perhaps i will be better next year

Arrived to a very quiet restaurant to a warm welcome on a cold evening, The menu was appealing and we had no problem in ordering starters and mains - which included a huge, sizzling, chicken tikka shashlik which was as tasty as it looked! The restaurant got busier as the evening wore on and the service and food could not be faulted - overall a very pleasant meal.

The service and food are both excellent. We have been using this restaurant now for the past three years and they haveain't aimed very high standards throughout. Looking forward to going back soon!

Like many restaurants these days there are no tablecloths, and no wall coverings. The result of this is that even though the restaurant was not busy it was very noisy and the situation was not helped by overly loud Asian muzak. The tables were somewhat undersized, again a common problem in restaurants. And, lastly, the place was quite cold. There is a fireplace, which looked as if it has never been used, and the radiators were on - a bit. However, the food was good and the staff were efficient and attentive. We probably will eat there again, but not in the winter!

Lovely food but had to wait an eternity between courses. Manager apologised as he was short staffed but offered no discount or complimentary anything. Starter and main with no dessert took 2 hours 45 minutes.

Great food, service and restaurant and great wine selection too. We come back all the time. We've tried a lot of the menu and none of the dishes disappoint.

Food was lovely, weren't offered a drink on arrival, had to find a waiter for after dinner coffees, staff were all very nice, need to address these service issues, will probably return.

Basmati is an Indian restaurant which features several Bangladeshi dishes on the menu. The food is extremely good. It's very popular so make sure you book with quandoo.

We visited this restaurant on the back of very good reviews. However, bit disappointed. Found the whole meal pretty average, just an ok curry. Nothing wow. Would not make the effort to return.

Fantastic service and great food would highly recommend it, very comfortable with plenty room between tables so your not on top of each other, reasonably priced.

The Basmati is a fantastic Indian restaurant. The staff are all very friendly and the service is immaculate. The food is outstanding, the best Indian restaurant locally. I would thoroughly recommend.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant but as it was over 63 mile round trip wondered if it was worth a visit I was over the moon to find the trip wasn't wasted the food was excellent the staff were a pleasure to know and very helpful albeit a bit slow but in all fairness they where rushed of their feet the wait was well worth it can find no fault 63 mile trip or not got my vote will certainly be going again.
