Bar Napoli

Been a long time we last went here it used to be our favourite in Edinburgh but not east for years and now know much much we enjoyed it. My go to dish is always Tagelattelli bar Napoli and it was excellent my wife had her fav of meat cannelloni and 5 stars too. If you have room get the focaccia you will not regret it

Accueil un peu froid mais le reste du service s'est très bien passé. Le serveur était super agréable et sympa, souriant. Nous étions 5 à table et tout le monde à adorer son plat. Leur pizza sont excellentes, ainsi que leur pâtes et leur gnocchis. Petit bémol à noter quand même, il y a beaucoup de bruit.

Great food - great table location too. Thanks for making it a nice evening. Service, by and large very good too maybe the noisy room didn’t help talking to waiters.

This is a great wee restaurant, excellent service, good food at very reasonable price, very friendly staff, good atmosphere, what is there not to like?

Nice place nice food , been going there for a long time until yesterday the worst night ahead because one of the staff doesn’t wanna work and every time you order something we get attitude from him we could’ve spent more money on the place but we had to leave because the bad service Thanks for the rest of the staff trying to cover up for him for us to have a good time

I have been eating here since 1999 every time I visit Edinburgh. Always great Italian food at very reasonable prices. One of the best Pizzas anywhere.

Excellent food and wine great prices Can't beat it the best Italian restaurant around. Seafood dishes are amazing as is tagliatelle bar Napoli. Can't wait to go back. 2 main courses huge portions pizza bread side salad for 2 and a bottle of wine 33pounds.

Fab service and excellent food! The lunch set menu is excellent value and the portions were a good size. Lovely wee place with a nice atmosphere.

Very hit and miss . Actually went 2 weeks in a row as first time the meal was amazing . Second visit really let us down . Toast for the Pate was cold and hard , replaced twice before I received fresh . Dessert was very poor . A very tiny piece of gateaux which was rather squashed .

Once again Bar Napoli provided a warm welcome, a relaxed atmosphere, good food, a good choice of dishes, reasonably priced wine and beer. I will definitely return to this restaurant

Food was delicious as always. I chose from the 3 course lunch set menu and my partner chose from the main menu and niether of us was disappointed. Food amazing 😉

Absolutely fabulous dinner! The staff were friendly, gave recommendations and let us sit and talk for a while after our meal. The food itself was delicious, and very reasonably priced. Would recommend!

Had the lunch menu. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend. Will return to try out the a la carte menu.

As always, great value for money, good service and excellent food. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone. We were there for 2 hours at lunchtime and never felt rushed.

Nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht besonders. Durchschnitt würde ich sagen. Das Essen (Pasta und Fleisch) war OK. Der Kellner eher unfreundlich. Kann man machen. Gibt aber gewiss bessere Italiener in Edinburgh.

Had a fantastic 3 course set lunch on Saturday 09/06/18 for under £8 per head. Great service and delicious food, cant wait to go back.

Excellent food, not overpriced, served quickly and with a smile. Would go again any time. The staff were attentive without being over fussy and all wished us farewell in English and Italian.

The set-price lunch in Bar Napoli is great value for money. The food is excellent and you get 3 courses. The service is also good.

We had the lunch menu. Good choice and good portion sizes. Only criticism would be the speed of service. It was too quick. I understand that people on a lunch break need relatively quick service but we were out for a leisurely lunch and catch up with friends.

Waiters were really quite rude and interested , we weren't checked on once it was like anproblem to take our order. Starter wasn't fresh came out within minutes or ordering for something that needs cooked must have been ore cooked and reheated in microwave . Good prices for wine apart from that wasn't a good experience we won't be back .

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The food was delicious and all the courses served promptly but not rushed. Would most definitely go back.

Me and the wife come here about once a month and every time it's brilliant, staff are really friendly and accommodating, best Italian restaurant in Edinburgh, recommended to everyone!!

This is a little gem of a place. The staff are great and helpful but leave you alone to enjoy your experience. The food is excellent and the price of the lunch deals are better than most in the area. Cannot fault it and will definitely be back for more and recommended for others. Overall really great value and experience.

If you want Italian in Edinburgh this is the place to go, excellent food, fair price and remember to book a table as they can be very busy, especially lunchtime.

We booked for a quick lunch. Staff most accommodating. They made sure we were served quickly, though the place was quite busy, and turned the music down without demur. Set lunch excellent value.

Great atmosphere, food really good with generous portions plus not over priced as sum you find in the centre of town, a must visit to Bar Napoli if in Edinburgh

Bar Napoli once again provided great service and even better food, as they do every time we go. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top Italian in Edinburgh with great value for money.

Very pleasant experience .staff very friendly Food was good . Only thing the dessert no choice and only got a TINY PIECE OF CHOCOLATE CAKE !!! With one scoop of ice cream !!!!

Could not fault the meal we had at bar napoli, delicious and so reasonable. Only down side was that we were kept waiting for our table, even though we had booked, while people who had not booked were given a table before us.

we return here often as it has great food, pleasant staff, noisy but good atmosphere., the fillet steak and peppercorn sauce was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious.

Fantastic as always, food was amazing. 4 of us, 3 courses 2 large glasses of wine 2 soft drinks £42!!! How do they do it??

We had a very enjoyable and very good value meal with quick and polite service. The restaurant is very busy, not surprisingly, and can be a bit noisy

It’s been a couple years since I last was here but glad to say it was as good as it always was I had the tagliatelle bar Napoli. It was excellent and as it was always my go to dish I was very pleased it was still as good, you must try it if you like Italian sausage.

Booked lunch for 4 friends and myself. Restaurant busy nice atmosphere and good service. We all enjoyed our lunch and thought it was very good value.

The quality is good, the waiters are cheerful, it's easy to get a table and the prices are low. The 3 course lunch for £6.95 and £8.95 for a bottle of red or white wine (how on earth do they manage it?). Overall, cheap, tasty and cheerful!

Excellent Italian restaurant in city Centre yet prices so reasonable. Service was great and efficient too. We will definitely be back as a group again.

Food was lovely and excellent value. Lovely staff too. extremely busy which speaks for itself. We will definitely be going back again sometime in the near future.
