GREAT FOOD, EXCELLENT SERVICE - GOOD PRICED WINE. WHY WOLD YOU NOT GO. STRAIGHT FPRWARD BOOKING SEFVICE WITH E MAIL DELIVERED PROMPTLY TO MY E MAIL BOX
Been going to Bar Napoli for over 30 years and have always thoroughly enjoyed the food. The menu is very reasonably priced with good sized portions. Very good value for money.
I had booked at Bar Napoli on the 27th November for myself and three others. When we arrived we asked for the lunch menu to be told that it had been taken off. It clearly says on the website that the lunch menu is not available during the Edinburgh Festival and December. We all had a course off the main menu, which was lovely but disappointed that they would not honour their lunch deal.
Fantastic welcoming Italian restaurant with great food with lovely friendly staff. Central location just off George Street. The place to go for Edinburgh Italian, enjoy.
Just a great atmosphere and such superb food just as we remember it when we were students 28 years ago. Staff so happy and helpful
Food was excellent but tables were too close together you couldn't move would recommend you ask for a table downstairs as tables weren't so close together
Great food and service at a good price lunchtime special was taken off for xmas but still on website and wed travelled a good distance thinkibg it would be available but didn't spoil things
Excellent food and great prices and customer service. Pizzas were delicious and lasagne to die for. Portions are big so don’t over order on the sides . Excellent meal
Have visited here before and liked the old fashioned Italian restaurant vibe. Typical decor and red checked tablecloths. Noisy and full of atmosphere. Portions are huge and relatively cheap for a city centre restaurant. Only downside was my sirloin was very fatty.
Great value - huge plateful! Varied menu with plenty of choice. I got a huge plateful of spaghetti with meatballs for my main and it was delicious. Busy place with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Really enjoyed the dining experience. This is a very authentic Italian restaurant, gingham table clothes. The restaurant was busy but the service wasn't compromised- the waiter was friendly and engaging. The food was made fresh to order.
Just perfect. Best place to share a dinner with friends or family. Food always fresh and good. Thanks again and see you soon. Great venue
Excellent service, food and great value for money. Fantastic atmosphere for a busy place very popular restaurant, I've been dining here on many occasions during the past 30 years and haven't been disappointed.
Le service est très efficace et sympathique, les prix sont attractifs et la carte est très variée (un peu trop). J'ai pris des pâtes qui étaient très bonne.
Lovely food, pleasant, attentive waiters and good value for money. The restaurant is in a very central location and convenient for the city centre, without being too busy.
Always enjoy the food. Good prices and lunch menu excellent price and choice. Pleasant staff. You never feel rushed. Would certainly recommend. Back next week😁
3 course lunch for £7.45 ! Brilliant value and great food. House wine is £8.95 for a bottle. Been going for years.ĺgreat atmosphere and friendly staff. But book it before you go.
We enjoyed the food, service was good. However I would have preferred to have sat upstairs as there was a large noisy group next to us.I will ask for a table upstairs at our next visit.would definitely recommend a visit!😊😊
Met there for dinner to catch up with friends. We love the table we were given (semicircle), the food was spectacular (I had the Spaghetti Amalfitana - highly recommended) and the portions are very filling! Still... I had a look at desserts online before going and I really wanted to try their Knickerbooker Glory... it was out of this world. I will definitely keep going :)
Service was a little surly from our waiter, but the food was amazing (steak with blue cheese to die for) and the wine was ace.
We arrived just before 12 lunch time and was told to come back in 15 minutes. We were not starving, so had a walk and went back. Waiter apologised straight away and said environmental health were in at the time. So that was not an issue with us. Service good, food good, wine good and all at a good price. We three enjoyed and would recommend.
Excellent range of really tasty food, from Italian classics to pub grub. Swift service. Great value lunch. An all round success for a catch up with friends.
Went for the 3 course lunch , excellent value for money, the house wine was also very good. Good service from very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend it.
Outstanding value for money at £7.45 for a three course lunch. Good menu choice with friendly staff in a good city centre location. Meals are quickly served and portion size is good.
Great food first time I had been to the restaurant
Great atmosphere lovely staff and delicious food, will definitely go again, the veal was superb and the tiramisu delicious nicely tucked away just of George Street.
Bar Napoli had no note of my booking. Rather embarrassing as I had booked it for myself and 3 friends and it was one of their birthdays. They managed to find us a table thankfully.
Great meal and a good price.Visited after 30 years and was as good as we remembered. Still had to queue like the old days so obviously still as popular
The price of the 3-course set lunch has increased slightly since I last went there, but It's still excellent value. The food is lovely and the service is good, too.
Nice new. Starter could have fed 3 people so rather overwhelming. Get guilty leaving most of it. Steak was good but needed seasoning. Sides good choice however broccoli was very oily and could taste fish with the garlic. Pleasant staff.
Great food, great service and very good value for money especially as it is in the centre of Edinburgh Can thoroughly recommend Bar Napoli. Great time had by our group.
Been eating here for 40 odd years and still the best Italian in Edinburgh. Never fails to deliver quality dishes and their lunch deal is great if you're having a day in town.
This is a great Italian restaurant. Great food, efficient and friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. We have already been back twice. They do a really good value lunch - 3 courses for £7.45. Highly recommended.
Great little place - easy to find, with very friendly and informative staff and the food was excellent and watching it being cooked as fascinating- hoping to go back soon!
Have been here before for lunch it was lovely unfortunately this time my chicken was dry and tasteless my friends bolognaise was very dissapointing!! Poor
Excellent authentic Italian food. Pizza served on a deliciously thin, crispy, spongy base. Gnocchi served with a delicious creamy homemade sauce. Service very quick and reasonably priced.
Served all 5 of us very quickly. Food was delicious and hot. Excellent Italian food for such a reasonable price. Highly recommend to friends and colleagues.
Always a pleasure to visit. friendly staff and great food - great value for money as well, especially the set price business menu. Thanks once again.
Great food and friendly service. Set lunch is fantastic value and nothing is too much trouble. We wouldn't go anywhere else in Edinburgh for a decent authentic Italian.
We regularly come here for lunch especially on a Saturday. The set lunch menu is great value at a very reasonable price. The food is always good, staff are friendly and attentive but not overbearing. I would recommend anyone looking for somewhere to eat in the town centre tries here.
Good straight-forward Italian food with impeccable service and a great buzzing atmosphere. I would certainly recommend Bar Napoli to anyone looking for a well priced meal in the centre of Edinburgh.
We had an excellent meal at Bar Napoli today, and the service was first class. The waiter was very polite and helpful and never once rushed us. It was my friend's first time in this restaurant and she said she will be back again very soon. The food is excellent, portions are very generous, service is great and price was most reasonable. Definitely worth eating here!
Visited at 5pm on busy Edinburgh festival Saturday evening, Nice fresh food, very busy but that didn’t stop the speed of the service. Great atmosphere. Very reasonably priced also. Will definitely return again.
I thought this little place has Excellent food and fantastic authentic atmosphere. I would recommend the pizzas and prawns to start. Book in advance as there was a queue out of the door
Friendly welcome as always. Food well served and delicious. Despite the pressures of the busy Edinburgh Festival everyone was keen to make our meal enjoyable, easy and unpressured. Will continue to go back.
Excellent food and service always first class.took my Grandaughter and grandson for their first visit both left with happy faces.highly recommended true authentic Italian food.
Such a lovely restaurant. Ambience and food were great. We went during the Fringe Festival and people were queuing out the door waiting for a table! So glad we had booked!
Excellent menu, excellent food, friendly welcoming staff, very good value in food and drink. A favourite eating place where we go regularly and have never been disappointed.
