Bar Napoli

My friend and I decided to go there as online we saw there was a very good deal on. No dates were mentioned so thought it was still on. plus we dont have much money either so it was ideal and we had travelled quite far so we're looking forward to it. Well when we sat down and the waiter came along we asked him if we could have that deal he immediately said it was not on and we explained it was still on the website so we should get it he still said no. This to me is false advertising and should have dates when and when not available

Lovely food and excellent service. Would definitely recommend Bar Napoli Will be visiting this lovely and lively Restaurant in the centre of Edinburgh again. Well worth a visit.

Lovely food and very friendly helpfull staff. Already re booked to come back again on Hogmany and also bringing along my friends to enjoy great Italian Food.

On arrival we waited a few minutes before being seated. We were not given crackers even though the other tables were set up for Christmas. Staff weren't interested in us but they were busy. House white wine was horrid nothing like last house we had there. Bruchetta was lovely too big for one person so was just as well we shared. The pizza was overcooked and lacked flavour and we couldn't cut into them very easily. We waited a while on our bill until I mentioned we were in a hurry. The waiter didn't acknowledge us when we said thank you and goodbye. It was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Not sure we would rush back

Excellent service , excellent food, good prices. We went with a lady in a wheelchair and they were so helpful we go every Xmas from Fife and have always found it terrific value!

Hi we had a nice time and the food was good. Not sure the waiting staff paid enough attention to what we were ordering. Overall a good experience!

We eat here sometime twice in a week. Great food, always busy and the guys on the floor always looking after everyone so well. Will be back again soon.

Food was nice, was really cold beside window seat all the draft coming from window and door had to put coats on to eat our meal

Food was delicious. The only down side was being near the door and the queues to get in meant the door was open and we were cold. Also as expected at this time of year it was extremely noisy.

great food ,fantastic service also great value...will defiantly be back . This restaurant has to be a must on any visitors list, they are proof that not every restaurant in Edinburgh ripped you off.

I have been going to Bar Napoli for a number of years now and always find the food very good and the staff very friendly. The lunch menu is excellent value and with the restaurant being in the centre of the town, what more could you want!

As always, an excellent experience, atmosphere is warm and welcoming, service is top notch and the food was presented well, cooked to the highest standards, all came together at the same time and hot and the price didn’t break the bank - party of 5, all had starters and mains, 2 bottles of wine, 2 pints lager and a round of shots only came to about £112.

Glad we booked a table. Always a busy restaurant for good reasons. The food is excellent and the size of the place makes for an excellent atmosphere. Prices are on par for any Italian restaurant.

Third time we've been here, and once again a fabulous meal. Baked goats cheese starter to die for, and steaks cooked to perfection. Friendly helpful staff, and an authentic experience. We'll definitely be back!

Very busy , very crushed and noisy waiters were not very pleasant . The Christmas menu sounded good but not homemade and the desert was not nice . A bit of cold custard not creme brûlée . If I go again it will not be at this time of year and will stick to there pizza which is great . I have been going to this restaurant for 30 years . The staff may have been stressed but they are rude.

Great family run restaurant. Plenty to choose from on the menu and the portion size is larger than most places i have previously visited. The foods great you will not be disappointed. Service quick and friendly.

It was a very busy lunch service but food was lovely and hot. The staff were very efficient but friendly and we were not rushed at the end of our meal. Very good value!!

Lovely meal in a very busy restaurant, bit noisy at times but good prices and good service, can be little drafty if sitting near front door .

Bar Napoli once again gave exvellent value for money dinner with excellent wine and good service. Will thoroughly recommend Bar Napoli to friends and family.

Service was very slow,20mins to take our order and then another 20 and a reminder before we got our drinks.Food took another 20 mins and was not of the quality I have previously had at Bar Napoli. Given an apology as we were leaving but will be a while before I think of returning!

We booked a table for 2pm. We knew there was a big rugby match on (the reason we booked), but still had to stand outside, and didn’t get our table until 2.15. That wasn’t too bad, but we had to wait about 25 minutes between courses, and that was really unacceptable . Still, that was nothing compared with a table of 6, booked for 2pm, who didn’t get their table until just before 3pm.

Although very busy,once seated had lovely meal.Staff friendly and attentive catered to all requests,excellent value,Would recommend if over in Edinburgh,Christmas shopping or visiting markets etc

This was the first time we had the lunch menu. Great value at 6.95 for 3 courses. We also got a lovely bottle of red wine for 7.95.The food was lovely and they had a good selection on the menu.

Everything about Bar Napoli was enjoyable, from the wonderful food and wine, the excellent prompt service and the friendliness of the staff and the really competitive prices. My wife and I so enjoyed our lunch here yesterday (16/11/17) that I am about to book us in again for lunch tomorrow (18/11/17) Thank you Bar Napoli see you tomorrow!

Lively atmosphere. Loved being able to see the chefs cooking and seemed to be enjoying it even though it was busy. Food delicious and really reasonable, would definitely go again.

Lovely meal at Bar Napoli, very reasonably priced. My son absolutely loved his pizza and my mum enjoyed her Fish & Chips. Very large portions. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Great price, great food, lovely staff, great location, and great value for money. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Overall a great lunch we had.

Amazing food every time. We especially love the Marinara dishes. Great service and beautiful energy inside. Highly recommend this Italian even though it’s in town it’s actually great value for money.

Great value for a 3 course lunch £6.95 and £7.95 for house wine. Good choice of starters and mains. Staff friendly. Will definately be back.

Bar Napoli has a fantastic atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and are total professionals. The food it fantastic as are the prices. Cant wait to go back

Really great, tasty, affordable food. We went on a Saturday night. It was really busy so expect your visit to take a while. It was the first time that I booked a table online!

Had a lovely meal at the restaurant, staff were very attentive and quick service, but more importantly the price was great for the food and drinks. Will always go back.

The food was great and where the service lacked some efficiency, it was made up for in their friendliness. Great value for good food and portions.

We were out to celebrate my daughter 21st. She is also on the autistic spectrum. I was really impressed with all the staff. Not only did they bring the Birthday cake to the table they also broke into a lovely chorus of singing to her. It really made her day. There services were as good as there food. Fantastic!

Nice food, quick service staff attentive but a bit rushed. Prices reasonable pizzas and pastas under £9, desserts 4-5£ where other places charge £6-7. Drinks pricey though.

An excellent lunch at a wonderful price. I do not know how they can turn out such good food and good size portions at such a low price. Give it a try.

One of my favourite restaurants in Edinburgh. Great food & service,never disappointed. Kids allways love it too when we take them. The staff allways smilling & make you very welcome.

As always this place has great food, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Cracking restaurant and the staff are always friendly and really helpful. first class 👍

Bar Napoli again provided a value for money meal. The food was good, and delivered promptly. What was a little disappointing was the consistent level of discord exhibited between some of the waiting staff.

Great Italian food. Tagliatelle Napoli was delicious with just the right degree of spiciness. White house wine excellent and favourably priced. Service prompt and courteous. Only downside was that it was rather noisy and so difficult to converse.

Food was fab as usual, but felt the staff were abrupt and not as friendly as I expected. The restaurant wasn't busy so there was no excuse not to be more welcoming. Hopefully this was a one off, so I will be back as the food and prices are excellent.

OK, it was busy, but service was slow, we'd been sitting 20 minutes before our order was taken. Pizza was excellent, but I found my two courses rather tasteless, plus my main was swimming in oil and I left much of it. It was noisy too, music playing in such busy environment was completely unnecessary.
