Nice central location for lunch with friends. Extensive menu very reasonable prices. Helpful staff.

Quite honestly the nicest most authentic Italian food I have ever eaten. Not only that but I think you would struggle to find nicer and more attentive waiters anywhere. Fantastic food at fantastic prices.

I know it was a set meal we had but Chicken main dish was tough (some bits I couldn’t eat) & no veggies...just chicken, mushroom& potatoes. Crumble & rest of food tbh was obviously heated up & not really that great. Only good thing was price. House wine was nice though!

Lovely place with efficient staff and good food, very popular, open till very late and well placed on Hanover St in an area with lots of bars.

Excellent food and service. “Doggy bag” offered if you don’t finish your food. The wine we had was delicious and very reasonably priced. Cosy feel inside 👍🏻😊 🇮🇹

Have been here for lunch many times. Unfortunately on this occasion the service was very slow. A big table of diners were in and there wasn’t sufficient waiting staff to meet the needs.

Overall , our experience was excellent, the food , the service, the atmosphere were perfect and it was superb value for money. I would highly recommend it, a great experience was had by all. Top class.

My Wife and I have been going to Bar Napoli for years and this is the first time we were disappointed. The Food was OK, but the pasta dishes had to be re-heated. The Service was slow and very poor. We ordered an Anti-Pasta to share and two pasta dishes as mains, The waiter brought the Pasta Before the Anti-Pasta...then he forgot about us when we asked for the Bill..we both left very disappointed

Huge portions, almost too much to eat and the food was really fresh, particularly the seafood. Great prices, good service - will definitely be returning.

I thought they had deal on but they didnt however friendly attentive and enjoyed the food. Will be going back again in the not too distant future.

Very busy at peak times so book ahead, but excellent Traditional Italian food, open late and perfect for post drink meal, very welcoming, good central location.

Well established local legend, Bar Napoli offers a great value three course lunch for about £9. Great choice; nice food; friendly service. Very lively though so be warned it can get quite noisy at peak times. A hit!

Good service, good prices and great atmosphere. Table ready on the selected time, restaurant was busy with lively atmosphere, good table looking out on the falling snow.

Lovely traditional Italian restaurant, nice atmosphere and good food at a reasonable price. Only other comment would be to put a bit less rocket on the pizza as there was a lot which overwhelmed the other flavours.

Disappointed that we were forgotten about had to ask fir desert menu then told only had ice cream I left a tip but I shouldn’t have service wascterrible

Very attentive and friendly staff. Good three course lunch deal, and the wine was a great bargain too! Nice atmosphere, background music was at the right level so we could chat comfortably.

Service was quick, and overall our food was tasty. I had the risotto, which had too much melted butter oozing out for my liking. Although the lunch price has gone up, it’s still excellent value. Good place to catch up with friends.

Staff are always welcoming every time I go. Menu is a fantastic prices at only £8.50 for 3 courses at lunch time. Always with great quality ingredients. Very central for visitors to the city. House wine also is lovely & under £10.00. Give it a try if your in Hanover Street. I am back on 31 January with another group of friends.

We had a lovely meal in Bar Napoli. It was quiet when we arrived but got very busy later on. However, we still did not feel rushed, and the staff were happy for us to sit on and enjoy our wine. They were extremely friendly and helpful, without being intrusive at all. A lovely, relaxing lunch!

Second time we have visited this restaurant whilst in Edinburgh, it's a great place to eat; superb choice of dishes, very helpful and pleasant staff, tremendous atmosphere and excellent value. The food is tasty, well cooked and the portions are hearty. An excellent Italian restaurant, we'll be back for our third visit next time we're in the city
