I've been visiting for over 25 years, still excellent service and food at amazingly decent prices. I'll be back next time I'm in the city

Been coming to Bar Napoli for years, Restaurant always has a great atmosphere and the service is great, its like being one of the family. Food is great especially the mussels, ribs and the veal.

We really enjoyed Bar Napoli. We had great service and delicious food. The atmosphere was lively and friendly. Will definitely visit again when in Edinburgh

All 8 of us had a great time! Lively atmosphere, great Italian food and friendly service. Be warned of the EXTRA hot chilli oil. Blew my head off!

Family of 6 ate from the 3 course lunch menu which had a good selection of choice and food was delicious. House wine fantastic too. All for about £80 great value for money. We will be back soon.

We had a lovely Time ! Only Small thing was the dessert if the day was a ball of ice cream x That being said the ice cream was lovely ! Excellent service and lovely staff . Great value

Great value for money. Attentive staff and good atmosphere. Wine of the month only £8 a bottle and really nice. Have been going there for a long time now.

Great food and friendly stuff. Incredible cheap prices for quality food. Nice decor, and space between tables.We will be back again on my next visit to Edimburg.

I was very pleased with the restaurant. We had to wait a few minutes for our table but once seated the service was really good. We did not wait long for our drinks or for our food. When the food arrived it was amazing and very tasty.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely as was the food. Staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A really enjoyable experience which was reasonably priced.

Very good food , service and atmosphere. The only thing I noticed not to my liking is the fashion for no carpet or curtains which both absorb sound and give a more pleasant experience.

the staff were friendly and accommodating. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and despite being very busy they went out their way to bring out the cake/seat us etc. Very good!

As always, wonderful atmosphere and beautiful food and very good service. Whenever we are in town Bar Napoli is a must visit for us - always good.

Excellent service, friendly staff and great food, the Calzone pizza was excellent - I would highly recommend. The profitereoles were also very tasty. Very busy place, so if you have a larger part well worth bookngin advance

Great atmosphere, great food! Had an authentic Mediterranean feel to the place. Service and food were both quick with food out within 15 minutes of ordering. Definitely will be returning!

Great lunch overall - good atmosphere and very tasty food, the lunch menu is excellent value and friendly staff. Highly recommended to all, will certainly be back.

Group of 6 were all happy with our food, the friendly service and especially the bill! Nothing fancy here just a great choice of food at a good price

Food was good but service was very disappointing. Bread ordered with the starters arrived after the starters were eaten, promptly sent back but still charged. Waiting staff very rarely engaged with us, attitude bordered on being rude. Very disappointing as last visit was great. We will not be rushing back!

Meal was good we were not offered any water with meal and when I tried to get the waiters attention he seemed to hurry on., there was no eye contact .Ladies toilets had no toilet paper in any of the cubicals again tried to get waiters attention but was ignored.

The lunch menu on offer was excellent value for money and the food was lovely and hot and lovely staff. The house wine - what a bargain . Would certainly recommend it to friends and family. In fact I have booked a table for next month.

Fantastic value table d'hote menu. 3 course for £5.75, and all delicious, good portions ! Still my #1Italian restaurant :-) in Edinburgh, great grub every time !

Had a lovely lunch with my grandchildren staff were very attentive and food good value for money would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place for lunch

Warm welcome, friendly staff. Service was good with staff attentive without being overpowering. The food was well presented and delicious, with no delays. Although busy the restaurant was not noisy. Bar Napoli will be on the list of places to dine when returning to Edinburgh!

Set lunch menu very good value and good portion size. Waiter was lacking in personality but this did 't stop us enjoying a get together. Central location too

This is my second time at bar Napoli and I couldn't fault it in any way staff are all lovely food is beautiful and the prices are great too. Will definitely be back.

Good food, nice friendly atmosphere. A really good venue for an unhurried lunch at a good price. Attentive service without hovering over you all the time like some restaurants.

The whole experience was great, great service, great food, great location. We had starters and main would suggest if you have a small appetite and would like a sweet for go the starter as the portions are a good size especially if you are having pasta.

Excellent! Food was great the staff were very friendly. The menu had plenty to choose from, the prices are very reasonable and the toilets were clean.

Suck wonderful food and all the staff were warm , super friendly and welcoming! Special mention to Alessandro and Giuseppe. Conveniently located in a great part of town. Highly recommended. 😁

We had to send our main course back, potatoes really cold. Asked for a glass of Pinot and received a Chardonnay. Have been here a few times and always felt the service and food was good, unfortunately this time did not meet my expectations.

Lunch menu great value.Wine of the month was very pleasant and only £7.95 per bottle. Service excellent. Very central with clean toilets . Would definitely go back.

An absolutely dreadful experience. Not served for 35 minutes, no waiter showed us any attention and so I had to end up phoning the restaurant while seated inside it to ask if they could come and serve us! When we eventually did order the server forgot to bring drinks despite 2 orders. When food arrived 2 pizzas were burnt and one dish did not arrive until at least 5 minutes after the others. Shocking experience.

Good food and service. Very fairly priced. Staff very friendly. We didn't get rushed off the table which when it is festival time is very unusual. I have been here several times and would highly recommend.

We were going to as show therefore needed relatively quick service which we did receive. Past meals were lovely but pizza a bit burnt but still edible. We have been to Bar Napoli several times and have always found value for money and good service.

Very disappointing. Lobster claw on the plate but nothing to crack it with. Meal looked unappetising, lobster meat was grey and unappealing. Stick to pasta and pizza and you should likely be fine though.

Fast service, friendly waiters and delicious pizza all for a really good price! Would definitely recommend and I will be back to try the pasta cause it looked tasty

Absolutely love bar Napoli food is amazing and so are the staff. I go here a lot as I wouldn't eat Italian anywhere else. X

Restaurant very busy and possibly one main was not of the usually high standard we have experienced before because of this. However our comment was noted and acted on. Service is outstanding, pleasant and efficient waiters.

Lively taste of the real Italia. Authentic trattoria with excellent menu and reasonable prices Would recommend to anyone looking for the best of Sicilian hospitality in the New Town

The food was not up to their usual standard on this visit. Renowned for their Minestrone soup, what was served on this visit was vegetables in a watery stock! Although always a very busy restaurant on this occasion overcrowded perhaps because of Festival. Would give another try.
