Bar Napoli

We had a tasty lunch at this Lovely Italian. The food & service was excellent and it is located in the heart of Edinburgh. We will be back!

Very convivial atmosphere and great food. We had an 'end of term' meal out with a small group of workmates. A wee bit noisy for chat but the whole experience was one we would definitely repeat. Thank you.

The quality of the 3 course lunch was very poor, perhaps you will have to charge more to improve the food. Had good meals here in the past..

It was very quick service, our table was beside waiters access to the bar area, so we were crushed into a corner, I have been to Bar Napoli on many occasions and felt the pasta dish wasn't to the usual standard.

Wonderful value for money! There are usually 5 of us, and we all enjoy the food. And the wine is more than acceptable. Sometimes it's a bit noisy, but hey, that's not a bad thing.

Amazing restaurant based on Hanover Street with great prices, friendly and helful staff and fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely be returning! Little tip: ask to sit upstairs rather than being taken downstairs to the bottom part of the restaurant as there is definitely more of an Italian feel upstairs.

We are regular customers of Bar Napoli especially when attending the rugby .On this occasion we had the lunch menu which was great value and the food was amazing.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time. Amosphere was relax, waiter was helpful in choosing our food, The food was amazing, good portions sizes and so tasty. Cannot wait to go back, its a winner!

Food was good and service was nice. We sat in a tight area near the kitchen which meant a lot of traffic but it didn't ruin our dining experience.

Bar Napoli once again provided a good value, high quality product. The staff are attentive without being intrusive. All in all a good experience. Will return.

Our meal was lovely, great value for money. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and I will return in the future.

Very enjoyable meal and very good service. The house wine (red and white) was tasty and very reasonably priced. Starters of bruschetta and tomatoes/mozzarella were very tasty and a good size. Lovely pizza and pasta as mains. Will be back for sure.

Delicious 3 course lunch at this lovely little Italian. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was very nice and the wine was excellent. A nice place for lunch in central Edinburgh and very good value for money.

Our waiting people were a bit slow in bringing the water to our table had to ask for it again but food good value for money.

As always at Bar Napoli - we had scrumptious food, excellent service and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with friends who we had not seen in a long time.

The service, cost, quality of food and general atmosphere were all excellent. The only slight issue was our seat was near a drafty door. Very happy to recommend the Bar Napoli and go back.

Always good authentic Italian food & friendly service. Not wood fired pizza but all individualy prepared in sight! Good location in the middle of town.

To busy, food not great, waited ages on the bill. I have been there before but this time it was poor. I think they were trying to get as many people in as possible. My friends who I was having lunch with felt the same, won't be back soon

Fantastic value for money. Lunch deal. 3 courses for £6.75. And super size portions too. Always love a visit to bar napoli. Staff very nice too and house wine excellent value.

Lovely food. Was disappointed with the staff because they were hovering around the tables and rushing me and my partner to eat! We felt so uncomfortable that we ended up leaving quickly which was disappointing because the food was nice.

Had a lovely meal with good service and lovely food. We were early diners (5.30pm) so the restaurant was reasonably quiet but still had a nice relaxed atmosphere.

As always our meal at Bar Napoli was very good. We were celebrating my 70th birthday, with our daughter and two grandchildren.We all chose different things from the starters and mains from the menu and were very pleased with the quality. The service was prompt and efficient, and staff were friendly. As we left one of the staff said he remembered serving us before, my husband and myself. He has a good memory. We live in Kirkcaldy, Fife but have regularly visited Bar Napoli over the years, and now come with our family for special occasions. The atmosphere is always good and the prices are very competitive !! We will be back.

We went on Saturday for the £6.75 lunch - great value, food was good for what we paid. Wine was also on special offer so I totally recommend if you are watching your money. Good atmosphere, efficient and friendly staff ! We will go back to sample more from the special menu soon !!

Fantastic food as always, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Have been going there for about 20 years and have never been disappointed. My next generation love going there too and it is always a first choice.

Would fully recommended this traditional Italian Restaurant in centre of town, 3 course lunch - fabulous value for money, friendly staff, nice atmosphere! It is a must....bottle of wine for under £10

A true authentic Italian restaurant. Great value, with food serviced fresh and quickly. Wonderful staff who allow you to relax and enjoy the experience with no hurry for you to leave. I will be coming back for sure.

Food excellent and charming staff. Wine good but no offer of desert or coffee so maybe another staff member would cover this. We would have stayed another hour bought desert and more wine but thus is such a great place we would still go back at a quieter time of day.

We had lunch for four. Bar Napoli is always good. The food is lovely, and the service is good too. They have a great lunch special as well. Very good.

Food superb and house wine all terrific value for money for Christmas eve. Little lacking in atmosphere quieter than usual. Had to ask for crackers!

Good food and reasonably priced. Extensive menu and the portions are huge. Never been disappointed. Staff always polite and cheery. We will definitely be back.

Any time we visit Edinburgh, we have a meal at Bar Napoli and it is always excellent. The staff are occasionally intimidating, but generally friendly.
