I was travelling to Manchester by train from Lancaster to take my 3 nieces, one aged 16, and two of 10 who were travelling from Sheffield by train, to a show. I had booked for us to eat at Bakchich and they were already very helpful for my rather restricted diet. On the day, my journey from Lancaster became a nightmare with delay after delay, train changes galore and rail staff not having sufficient correct information which led to many changes of trains which either didn't leave or broke down! As the time I was supposed to meet my nieces passed and I was still in Preston I was obviously very concerned. Thank goodness for mobile phones! My 16 year old niece was able to locate the restaurant and took the younger ones there for a meal they all voted really delicious. The staff, who I had kept informed about my movements as best I could, were helpful and courteous at all times and were very welcoming to my nieces. Alas, I reached Manchester Oxford Road shortly before the show was due to begin so I missed the lunch I had been looking forward to but I was reassured to know my family were being looked after and had a good meal. I can't wait to go and sample the food myself!

Extremely delicious food for the most economical price. The overall service was impeccable. I highly recommend to visit Bakchich to enjoy Lebanese food in the heart of Manchester. Looking forward to visit again soon.

The was is quite tasty. I was a little disappointed at the amount meat you get with the meal. They give you more fries than anything else. If I was wanted fries, I could have gone to a burger joint. Apart from, the food is good.

I'd been to the Liverpool branch and liked it so was interested to compare Manchester Bakchich; also it's very convenient for the Dancehouse Theatre, where we were going later. Food was generally good, although the green salad and tabouleh were rather roughly chopped. Prices are oddly variable; £5+ for a manaqeesh and £8.95 for a veggie mezze platter seem very steep, but the grills and other mains seem much more reasonable. Lovely muhalabiyyeh for dessert!

Very good food, it's one of the best Lebanise food restaurants in manchester. Service is usually very good, but wasn't as good as usual today, I don't know if they were short handed.

This was one of the best meals I've had in Manchester! Also the portions are quite large so keep that in mind if ordering mezzes too!

The restaurant was not overall yet busy but the service was incredibly slow. I ordered a started and a main, which both came or together - despite asking for them separately. My drink didn't arrive until 10/15 mins after arriving and my bill was never given to me, I had to keep asking. My main of choice had sold out, which can't be helped - but alongside everything else, dampened my experience

We attended on Saturday night, no need to book for a small table, there were a few large groups booked in. The food was amazing! Large portions and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Food, staff and ambiance was great. Handy location with free parking after 8 PM. If you're in to mezzes, grills and other Middle Eastern goodies which won't break the bank, this is the place for you!

Food is lovely, great selection too for vegetarians and meat eaters. Service is OK and staff are nice but it's not 100% efficient. Big portions for the money too. Not licensed for alcohol but the soft drinks are imaginative. Definitely will be back.

My experience of bakchich was terrible. The waiter failed to understand the questions we asked about the food and then when did order, the food we received was of a very low standard. Our plates were literally bought out to us 3 minutes after we ordered, so it was obvious the food wasn't freshly prepared. On top of that, the meal was bland and we ended up leaving with almost full plates. Would not recommend this place.

It is a lovely place and the food is good. The service could be slightly better by coming to the table more often, and we were a large group but weren't given a lot of bread with dips.

Fantastic food, fast and friendly service, brilliant decor and delicious food at reasonable prices. I couldn't ask for anything more in a restaurant experience and will definitely be recommending this to others and hopefully coming back when I next visit Manchester. I've rated the noise as average because there was a lively buzz to the place, but still plenty of opportunity to chat to your dinner companions - just right for me!

Staff and food were excellent, the only problem we had was they brought out the starters and main course together. When I explained that we did not want them together it was no problem and they took them away.

Very friendly, quick service and comprehensive menu. The vegetarian mezze set a high standard and was generally better than the mains--kebabs and falafel were overcooked and a bit dry. Having said that, we would go again, it might be they were just having a bit of an off day and it was the Christmas rush after all!

Great service, especially from Mohammed. He made me feel very welcome as soon as I entered the restaurant. Although I was alone whilst waiting for my 2 friends who were running late he did not try and rush me. The food was great as always.

Have eaten here once before (a few weeks ago) the food was great and the atmosphere was good. Last Saturday (21/1/2017) I had pre-booked our table for two. This was a good move as they were very busy. Unfortunately our waiter forgot to come back and take our order. When he did, it was then missed by the kitchen staff. It took a while to get the waiters attention for an update too. This resulted in us being sat there for about 50 minutes from entering the place, and leaving without eating as we had a film to go and see (Lion, great film!). I may give this place one more chance - but not soon.

Service very quick, however in an empty restaurant they sat everyone next to each other so it was quite cramped to eat. Food average and not as good as sister restaurant in Liverpool. Very reasonable priced.

The food was absolutely brilliant but the customer service let it down. We were told we had one hour to eat and we couldn't go over this time. We came in earlier than our booking time, the place wasn't heaving with people and there was spare tables. We were refused a seat and was told to wait until our exact reservation time. It was like talking to a robot, rather than a human. Fair enough it was New Year's and they wanted to maximise their takings, but there's limits.

Lovely place, smelt great as you walked in. Food was very tasty. Our waiter was pretty clueless though, unfortunately. He couldn't explain what the dishes were other than pointing at the menu description, and tried to clear our plates when we said a few times that we weren't finished! I'd go back again though :)

Delicious food, helpful staff. Atmosphere a little institutional cafeteria-ish - no soft furnishings, candles etc which would make it more welcoming and Middle Eastern feeling. It would nice to feel a little more comfortable!

Our first visit to Bakchich and it was an enjoybale one. Very extensive menu with plenty of choices for Mezze / Mains / Specials / Desserts and even Childrens meals. There were 3 in our party and the food, for the most part, was excellent. It was a very busy evening when we were there with a party of 40 being catered for. That probably accounted for the few slight quibbles we had. On the whole the service was good and very attentive although there was a delay in getting our drinks to us at the start. As I`ve said the food good on the whole although the Arabic bread wasn`t fresh , the spinach fatayer needed more flavour and the chips / fries were cold. On the plus side, my meatballs were lovely as were the lamb chops and the salmon that my friends ordered. Will definitely be going back.

Food was beautiful but could have been served hotter as I like my food to be steaming when it reaches the table. It was not full that night and it wasn't the end of the night but we felt like we were being rushed to leave. Enjoyed our meal, well cooked and full of flavour!
