Arts Cafe never disappoints; fabulous food and wine, and the service is always relaxed but timely. Never feel rushed, even at peak time. Highly recommended.

it was 9 years since me and my friend ate here and the atmosphere is still a good as all them years ago. The staff had excellent knowledge of wine and food which was reflected in their passion. my only complaint was the main course could of been hotter but I still ate every but of the rump pic lamb. keep up the good work

The food and service were both good. The service was attentive and efficient without being intrusive. Despite there being two large groups in there were no delays for me.

Wonderful staff, wonderful service, wonderful food! Being vegetarian I sometimes struggle for food options other than a "veggie bean burger" or a salad...this is never the case at Arts cafe. I'm always able to choose something delicious and different from the menu nd it never ever disappoints. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and drinks, and the lovely staff were incredibly friendly - thank you for making my sisters birthday meal so fab! Highly recommended.

I visited last Sunday for the first time (with my mum who is a bit fussy) because I had read good reviews on the Internet. I was thoroughly impressed. The cafe itself is light and airy, clean and attractive. The service is efficient and firefly and happy to serve to serve a jug of chilled tap water with our meal. We overdid the vegetarian lunch plate and the fish lunch plate. Both were delicious and generous portions. The flavours and ingredients were fresh and interesting. We were catching a train so couldn't linger, but had we more time I would have opted for one of the desserts which sounded delicious. Will definitely return to sample more of the menu.

Great atmosphere, but a little bit too busy at times. Food was all right, but not extraordinary. Anyway, good place to go and I will lcertainly come back.

Excellent as ever. Fish and chips usually best left to the fish shops was yummy and the fish beautiful;white&moist. Very friendly attentive service. As always.

We were looking for a nice non-chain restaurant where we could get a late lunch (after 2pm). The Art's Cafe was perfect as it was busy enough with lunch and cafe customers. Also nice choice for those of us wanting a full 2 course meal, as well as those just wanting a sandwich or soup. The food was fresh and nicely prepared. I particularly liked the mains chicken with chorizo. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will return next time in Leeds.

Food was good as normal and the staff are always friendly. Just let down a little this time as they were out of stock of many of the white wines on the list

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and able to enjoy a few drinks afterwards without any rush. We will definitely visit again perhaps to try lunch next time.

Good service. The food was excellent. The best food I've had in a long time. Downside.....no gap between courses. Felt a little rushed. Portion sizes could be bigger. Will definitely return though. The crab salad was amazing.

I've visited Art's Cafe twice for lunch in the previous month and found it very welcoming. The food is high quality and imaginative/creative. I had the peppered mackerel salad and it was a full plate of delicious fish, green beans, sun dried toms, salady bits topped with a poached egg - yummy! It was very good value for money too (oops and we both loved the chocolate sponge with rum 'n' raisin ice cream and cherry sauce - soft and oozy and full of flavour!)

Never disappointed with Art's Cafe: the service is attentive and friendly, the atmosphere wonderful and the food superb. Their Early Bird menu is especially good value.

The food was incredible. We both had the steak and it was delicious. Probably the best chips I've ever eaten too. The staff were very polite, helpful and knowledgable. it was such a cosy atmosphere too. Loved it!

Fabulous Sunday lunch with friends. Great atmosphere and service. Such a gem in Leeds city centre, I would highly recommend this place. Been a few times before and wouldn't hesitate going again in the future.

Great cafe, lovely food & friendly service! We visited at lunchtime and really enjoyed the fish platter; fresh crispy whitebait, gorgeous smoked mackerel, silky smoked salmon, a generous pot of crayfish, not to mention a hunk of excellent homemade bread. The sticky toffee pudding was also excellent, fresh & light (not stodgy!) with a pool of sauce & ice cream. Sadly, the cafe was almost empty - I cannot understand why customers are not queuing out the door!

As ever, the food was excellent, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The staff are always extremely nice. Overall one of my favourite places to eat in Leeds.

We had a great time at the Art's Café, it was the first time I have been and I will definitely be going again. Food was fantastic and plenty of it. Relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, friendly staff and value for money.

We arrived very early, originally they tried to put us on a table next to the toilet door even though there were five or six suitable tables free, we requested a different table and they sat us next to a table that had been prepared for a party. The food was very good. After our starter, the people arrived for the party and when they sat down this left very little space for people to pass on their way to the toilet. Consequently I spent my main course being knocked by people on their way to the toilet and people from the party getting up to go for a cigarette. My wife and I have been going to the Arts Café for several years and the food has been consistently good. This was the only time we have left without a smile on our faces.

Tasty food - service was excellent - there when needed but left us alone to chat and did not hurry us out. Reasonably priced for the quality of food and a good range for all tastes and dietary needs.

Delicious food, wonderful service and generally great atmosphere. Four of us had a 3 course dinner and everything was perfect. Genuinely amazing value with the early bird menu

Starters were fine, but both main courses took ages to come out and were overcooked when they did although still edible. The waitress offered me a steak knife for my duck because I was struggling to cut it. When we mentioned it they offered us free dessert, but we were full by then.

Great place for conversation over dinner. Bistro atmosphere. Staff were friendly, knowledgable and attentive. Food was good. Plenty of choice for a range of tastes (including vegetarian); imaginative combinations well executed, good size portions. All reasonably priced too.

Great food, great service. Complimentary beer when they had just about run out of the guest beer I selected! Very refined and interesting dishes. Would highly recommend.

What an excellent service. We were looked after throughout our stay and made to feel very welcome. We are three old school friends meeting up for a natter and a laugh and we were so very well looked after. Arts is king!
