Oka, so tonight's experience could have went a lot better. First thing was no normal tap lager, only specialities, fine I could deal with that, just get bottled instead. When our order came the correct cutlery was not presented, it had to be asked for. My own meal was cold, so sent it back only for it to come back as two thirds of the portion. The steak quality was chewy for one well done that still had pink, and one medium. We were ignored by the waiter twice when they were walking by, even though they looked at the person who called for the service, taking a third attempt to call to them. Later that same waiter ignored one of my party again when asked something. Overall poor experience, the positive from this was the manageress did listen to my complaint and took everything on board. Sadly do not believe I have the confidence to try again. Perhaps struggled with a table of ten people. Cost vs quality could do with being looked at, you can have the biggest whisky selection ever, but if you can't supply standard drinks that people want you won't be able to entice them to return. First visit, likely to be my last.

Only people in Restaurant. Were put in area with bright lights and hard seats, for a special night out which spoiled our night when we could have been put in more relaxed comfortable area with dimmed lighting. Felt a bit rushed to order and main meal came rather quick. Would go back maybe for lunch but not dinner and hoping my chicken only looked pink due to the bright lights.

We both had a long day and felt that we did not receive much in the way of customer service. Waited a long time to order drinks, other tables were priority over us. We were not advised on specials, asked how our meals were. It seems that the two staff who were present may require further training. The food was good but the poor service took the shine off the experience. Very disappointing and would not book again.

Amazing food and very reasonably priced. Good choice of drinks available, especially if you like whisky, rows and rows of the stuff. Great staff too. Will defo be back!!

Wont be back, I asked for a medim fillet steak and got a very rare 1, more rare than my sons rare t-bone. Chips were horrible, my 9yr old granddaughter couldn't eat her burger she said it tasted funny and she was right..I told the waitress and all she said was you should have told me....omg I am telling you. £136 no discount as an apology and no apology from anyone.....never again

Been to Artisan a few times and the food has always been lovely. It was a different story last night. Starter (Duet of Black Pudding & Haggis) was a bit greasy, hidden under the peppercorn sauce, the steaks were tough, we said to the waitress about the steaks and we were advised she would let him know. I was very disappointed in food. My work colleague who was visiting from England. I had said he would love the food, but this was not the case, he was however impressed by the amount of whiskey in the restaurant. I would honestly think twice about going back.
