Splendid food, efficient and friendly service. The ambience is a real blast from the past, but it works. And discovered the amazing Georgian lemonade. Will definitely make this a regular visit.
It's the second time we have been to the Armenian taverna. The food is excellent and plentiful,it's a hidden gem and very easy to miss it.We shall be going again.
Arrived 45 minutes late for a pre-theatre supper, due to a motorway foul-up. Staff and chefs were excellent, both in the speed with which they served our first mezzeh and then the main meal, and the quality of the food. Instead of an hour and three-quarters for supper we finished up with less than an hour and they were great at making sure we didn't miss the start of the play and didn't finish up with indigestion!
The food was very good we had the Armenian banquet which was plentifull and very tasty the house wine was good and a , reasonable price and the staff very friendly, well worth a visit.
Friendly staff, huge portions of pretty good food. Mixed meze starter was delicious, better than mixed kebab main. Vegetarian mains were slightly disappointing. Good selection of unusual wines.
We had a lovely meal the staff were attentive and friendly and the prices were very reasonable so all in all a great night out , to quote Arni "we'll be back "
Pleasant atmosphere, good service. We chose the sharing platter for 4 people, the food was tasty, the starter was nicer than the main, will probably try an individual dish if we go again.
A tucked away little gem of a restaurant. Great food ( we had the banquet for 5 people) and service with value for money. Will definitely be going again. Ian Warrington
We visited this restaurant on 11th July - a return visit for one of us but a new experience for the other. We were given a warm welcome. The service was excellent and the food brilliant. I have never been disappointed at this atmospheric 'taverna' & will certainly be returning, as will my friend - a new convert!!
Excellent food & service at The Armenian Restaurant. Our friends & our selves had a very enjoyable time. The booking experience with Quandoo was effortless.
Friendly staff, nice ambience and delicious food. We were a group of nine people, all fully satisfied with our dishes. We shared a vegetarian and a meat platter with bread as a starter, which we enjoyed a lot. All main courses (varying from vegetarian cous cous to lamb goulash) were served at the same time, well cooked and delicious in flavour. Finishing off our meal with baklava, tea and Armenian coffee, we concluded that this restaurant is a place to visit again.
We were the only people in the restaurant at lunchtime. Waiter spent whole time on laptop and mobile phone arguing with a supplier. Casual service. Stale lavash bread. Mezze poor. Little meat in the so called meat version.Very poor experience.
Excellent food. Friendly staff. Lovely beer. Not too expensive. The Dorma is recommended.
Lovely, tasty food and a good selection of wine. Will definitely visit again
Excellent food, but slow service. The restaurant has been renovated since I last went. I think it has lost some of it's charm as a result, but many people will prefer the more modern design.
Wide choice of food on the menu. Enjoyed our choices from the starters and mains. Felt we had had enough to eat after the ample portions!.
Excellent food and friendly staff. Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble from help with choosing food to being offered samples of wine.
