Very average food and far too fast being served, starter and main finished within 30 minutes. We felt as if we were being rushed so the staff could go home and it was only 21:30 on a Saturday night

Very pleasant and efficient staff. Lovely food lots of choice but a bit pricey. Very clean and smart decor cosy and comfortable. Excellent Turkish beer.

Great food and the staff were excellent had a lovely valentines night couldn't do enough for us and the roses and chocolates made the evening very glam will be returning xx

Great food from starter to desert. Service was fast and the staff very friendly. Definitely recommend the lamb chops. Will be going again in near future.

The restaurant is very clean and well presented. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is very tasty and delicious, and you get a good sized portion. Would definitely recommend.

A warm reception, with excellent and attentive service. The food was very good although my started of hummus and lambs liver was slightly oversalted. We will definitely be going back for more.

The food was amazing! We had hummus with lamb to start and my husband said it is one of the best things he has eaten out in ages. Only constructive thing to say would be to slow the service down as we were in and out in 1 he 15 mins. Otherwise great!

Beautiful surroundings, spotless clean, service very good, we had the early bird special, great value and the food was some of the best we’ve had in a long time, everyone give it a try, it has an extensive menu and I’m sure you’ll love it

Simply the best. Food quality and presentation is really good. You will not leave the restaurant hungry. The service is particularly good. My guests and I really enjoyed the Turkish wine. Thourghly reccommend this restaurant experience.

Food as nice as usual, but the service was not as good as we've experienced before. Had to clear our own starter plates into a pile when our mains came, we only had one round of drinks with our food because no one came back to check on anything, and when we shouted and asked someone...she just didn't return. It was all a bit chaotic, despite the restaurant not being busy. Won't stop us returning because we enjoy the food, but do hope it returns to it's how good it was previously.

Weve been nefore and had a lovley time however last night our starter was burned rest of our food was ok service ok They did remove our starter from the bill but never came and apologised

Very nice restaurant. Very friendly. One young girl made the difference. But I like butter on my bread and they had none. And at least 4 OTHER couples asked for some while we were there.

Having been to the Agora on numerous occasions and always previously giving rave reviews I feel that it’s only fair to express our disappointment in our visit at the weekend. We think that maybe the chef is new or that they have switched suppliers as the food wasn’t up to its usual high standard. The rice was plain and flavourless and didn’t have the distinctive taste we love. My Adana kebab in my Agora mixed kebab was salty and mushy, a very small rib and the lamb chop was very fatty. My partners prawn salad was plain and lacked flavour. My Effes was good as always but my partner couldn’t taste the gin in her gin and tonic. All in all we were very disappointed.

Visited with husband for our anniversary meal. Plenty of choice on the menu. Very attentive staff. Food was delicious. Will definitely visit again soon. Highly recommended.

The food was fabulous, totally authentic Turkish food. Generous portion sizes, we ordered starts of agora mussels and falafels with mains of Chicken shish and gukar tavuq. Will definitely return again, thank you :)

Recommended. Excellent food. Could be argued as a tad pricy (and no bread with starters that included Houmous) but that would be nit-picking. Still great.

Excellent service from the maitre de as usual there is a large menu to choose from.The staff will advise on the dishes,which are delicious Always an enjoyable experience.

Friendly staff, service was quick but we weren't rushed. Food was excellent, very large portions though and the kids meals were adult size. Went on a Sunday and wasn't busy.

The booking system was easy and quick. The service and food was excellent and reasonably priced. I love this place and will definitely go again.

Lovely meal. Quickly cooked and brought up table. Everyone enjoyed. Only slight downside was that we were a party of 6 people and 5 meals came together ana we had to wait 5 minutes for the last meal. They did apologise though. Overall good. I would go again. Thanks Agora.

First time that we have tried Turkish Food, it was amazing we will be going again and defiantly fully recommend service was impeccable, great staff nothing was to much trouble, I had forgotten my glasses they even produced a pair of reading glasses, absolutely fantastic would highly recommend people try this restaurant we will defiantly be going again

The food was amazing as always when me and my partner go there, but last night it felt like they were rushing ordered drinks then the bread and the appetisers came out we were still eating the appetisers as it was a mere 3 minutes or so after getting them and they brought our mains over which they’ve not done previously, after just putting our cutlery down they were over clearing the table and another with the bill, we can normally spend upto an hour or more there having good food and drinks but within 40mins we were in and out, the food is amazing not going to lie but last night we didn’t feel welcome.

Fantastic authentic food, fast service and friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be revisiting in the future to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

Top quality meals and service every time we visit. Great choice of meals on the menu and a great pint of Effes. Good value at good prices in a good location.

Took over half an hr for starter and then another half an hr on top of that for mains. Service too slow. Apart from that nice food and wine lovely

Food overdone to the point that we could not eat with cold sautéed potatoes. Service very slow. Excuse given was that they were also catering for a table of 25. May We suggest that should they have a large party of guests, they take no further bookings around the same time. Extremely disappointed and will not return.

We ate here fir fathers Day, food was really Nice, portions are very generous, staff really friendly. Great choice of dishes on the menu. Highly recommended.

Three of us dined last night,staff were courteous,food good although main course was cool -maybe because starter was forgotten?Busy ,good atmosphere.Liked open kitchen.Will probably return.

Food was wonderful as always! My Mum enjoyed her birthday meal greatly and my son who lives in Newcastle so had never been before thought it was excellent as did my husband and I.

Visited with 4 friends, food was lovely. I had the mixed sish and the meat was cooked to perfection. We got a hot and a cold meza to share for starters, the hot one was fab but the cold one was like a load of dips but we didn’t get anything to dip in them! We eventually got some bread after asking twice, everything else was top notch.

Lovely food, efficient and friendly service. I was quite taken that a waiter checked that Iknew that my sea bass order came on the bone

We visited on the happy hour there was some really good choices. The food was beautiful and great service, good atmosphere and very good value for money.

Always incredible food and lovely staff. Highly reccomend a visit. The lunchtime menu is great value for money. Cold Meze for 2, shared between 4, is our favourite.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, staff very nice and the food is stunning. It's nice to be able to see the chefs cooking on the open grill.

First time at this restaurant and it won't be the last. Went with friends and we all enjoyed our starters and main meal. In fact the portions were so good we didn't have room for a sweet. Food and staff were excellent and it has a lovely atmosphere.
