Most enjoyable meal on a busy Thursday night in January.

As usual everything , food and service was as always of a very high standard , with some of nicest staff you could ask for, if you have not been you should make the effort.

Recommended. Could not fault visit. Food was excellent. Ambience was great and waiters were very friendly without being intrusive.

We had a really good evening. Received a very warm welcome, as always. The waiter was attentive and pleasant. We were upstairs and luckily had a group of seven in number so didn’t miss the atmosphere and buzz downstairs too much. Excellent food. Lovely to be back. Very helpful service, polite, careful and amusing. Perfect menu found for vegetarian, young people and adults. Well balanced and extensive menu. Food was prepared to perfection and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their evening.

We had another excellent meal at 8848. The food is very tasty, and the menu has new items for 2020. Service was attentive and friendly. A great meal.

As usual fantastic meal and excellent service although I asked for a lamb dish and received a chicken dish but as it was soooo good I did not bother to inform them.

It was perfect. Our table wasn't quite ready so received complimentary glasses of Prosecco while we sat and waited which wasn't long at all.

Hogmanay dinner with my partner. We had a short wait for our table which was no problem, and were given complementary Prosecco. We opted for the special five course menu which was exceptional in terms of taste, presentation and value. The flavours were stunning. Service was excellent and the cocktails were great. A perfect way to start the new year in a fabulous restaurant.

Variety and quality of food was excellent as was the service and ambiance of the restaurant. First class and probably the best value for money restaurant in Aberdeen.

Disappointed with the lamb dishes. Lamb shank rogan josh was tough and my friend said exactly the same thing about his lamb dish. Otherwise very happy with the meal.

We visited the restaurant for my daughter’s birthday. Everything was perfect, atmosphere, service & especially the food!! Will definitely be back.

The level of service is second to none they are so friendly from you arrive till you leave. The food as in Indian/ Nepalese is the best there is not only in Aberdeen but wherever I have eaten. It is so flavoursome you really don’t want to finish. If you have never tried 8848 restaurant go ahead and try it I promise you will be returning time after time

The food was fantastic and the service was very good. Most enjoyable.

Very pleased with the restaurant overall, particularly quality of the food and level of service which were excellent. We had a table for 6 in the upstairs restaurant and unfortunately the large party at the adjacent table were very noisy and precluded proper conversation at our table. This was not the fault of the restaurant of course, but if I were to book again in future I would ask for a table in the downstairs restaurant.

Only slight negative was the waiting time for the main course - but that does not detract from a very pleasant evening, great food, attentive service and a nice setting.

This was our first visit to this restaurant but we won’t hurry back. The service was very slow. We were seated at the same time as the couple at the next table who got served faster than we did. They had there starters finished long before we even got ours. The starters were good and the spice level as it should be. My main course I had to send back as it was lukewarm (no steam coming off of it). The replacement was much warmer but had less chicken in it but came back quickly (supposedly freshly made). We also thought the chicken was precooked and added to the sauce (bought in already cooked). Everyone around us got a very fancy hot cloth to wash their hands and we did not (a ‘shrunken’ cloth which grew when hot water was poured over it). Overall I would not recommend going to this restaurant as there are far better ones in Aberdeen.

Out for dinner with colleagues, food was excellent, wine waiter was knowledgeable, service was very efficient. Eaten here several times and it never disappoints!

Fine up until it came to getting Our change after paying bill, waited 15 mins to get our change, we didn’t get It, we got the bill in a matter of seconds after asking for it, went to the bar on way out and we were blanked out by staff so just left. Not good at all.
