Was a tad slow at the start. We pressed the buzzer a few times to get attention for another drink. No one came which was a shame as it was my wifes 30th bday. Although the food was great. Will dine there again at some point

4of us dined,3 meals were excellent, however mine was dreadful! Halloumi burger with salad and chips, asked for no bread arrived as breaded vege burger no halloumi no chips and extra salad??? When said I ordered a halloumi burger was told was but didn’t have any halloumi and brought me 4 thin slices of feta, not even similar! And later a bowl of chips. Quite disgusting! I would have changed order had I been told no halloumi. Very disappointing! Desserts were all ok.

Starter arrived in 5/10 mins but main came well over 45 mins later with no explanation at all, quantities of food appears less only 3 chicken gougons as a main. Food was good but service was given by 5/6 waitresses hence no one taking responsibility. This is unfortunate as it is a stunning location and just needs to be organised better at busy times.

Good value meal. Had to wait half an hour for our table. Staff were very apologetic. 2 good kids' meals and 3 excellent ribeye steaks. One hake which was over cooked and dry sadly. Very busy, so service was a bit slower than usual but staff excellent.

Top class, lovely food, friendly helpful staff and first class service and all at a very reasonable price, there are some lovely places to eat on the North Coast but 55 North is by far the favourite for myself and the family

Great views, good food and friendly staff. My family and I have eaten here at lease 20 times but yesterday was different. This time my wife and I were given meals meant for a different table, to enjoy our meal my wife and I had to swap meals si we didn't get what we ordered as the steaks were cooked differently. My desert came and the was no cream on, I specifically asked for cream when it was offered. The butter scotch Sunday was small and very poor no were as good as it used to be. To top it off the prices have increased a fair bit. Sorry guys, you let me down on this visit and took the edge of my wife's birthday dinner. William McAlees.

Cold food after a long wait for main course. Then tried to charge for desserts when we had not been offered a dessert. When complained. About food being cold took both meals away brought one meal back with cold chicken and about ten minutes later advised wife that her meal would take a further 15 minutes. will not be back.

Have eaten here before but was disappointed this time. Took my family for my birthday. Three of us ordered prawn cocktail - the Marie Rose Sauce appeared to have been watered down and the wheaten bread was sitting in what I wld call a bed of water. We had almost finished our prawn cocktail when my husbands arrived. My daughter ordered sticky toffee pudding which was hard and cold and she returned it. Have to say she was given another one which was fine. When paying I was asked if everything was alright I explained about the Prawn Cocktail and £3 was taken off my bill. All and all we did not enjoy thus experience and very much doubt if we will return

They have a menu were you pay for your main but get a starter and dessert included , the starter i chose was the mini (it most certainly was mini ) prawn cocktail which was ok- ish , pretty bland and uninteresting. I chose freshly battered cod and homemade handcut chips & mushy peas , while the fish and chips tasted good i was so disappointed at the size of my fish it was really small , i would have preferred a large fish and a handful of chips , i chose the 'homemade' apple crumble & custard for dessert , needless to say it did not taste homemade, the custard was thin and tasteless and the crumble was doughy and tasted as though it hadnt been cooked through ,i couldnt eat it - i was here with my daughter for her birthday so i was extremely disappointed with my first visit to 55 degrees north, i wont be rushing back - have had much nicer (& cheaper ) fish & chips from the chippy.

I have been a regular in your restaurant this past month & today we had 3 very good meals but one which was very disappointing to say the least. On each occasion we would have one portion of chicken goujons but today’s was really only half a portion in comparison to the other days. To make matters worse the table in front had a chicken goujon meal & there portion was considerably more & looked much better than we had.

My experience at 55 north was pleasant.. The meet and greet elderly lady seemed to be a bit off. Not wanting to offend. I had requested a window seat. Whn I relayed this to her, she grunted. I found This a bit embarrassing as I had visitors from overseas. You’re waiting staff were very pleasant and happy to oblige.. The vow was amazing. Over all we have a lovely visit!!

Meal is based on the main. Whatever the main costs allows you to have a starter and desert for that cost. Unfortunately this means the food is cheap and tasteless. I have to be honest and say the service was very poor too. Based on the poor tasteless food and service I wouldn't return

Starter and desert ok but the mains chicken curry was awful. Husband had the burger was just ok. Kids meals good value. Had strawberry daiquiri and made me feel so sick. A real shame as we used to love going here when in Portrush. Disappointing.

Fabulous view from table overlooking the ocean - that's the best part! Prices well up from last visit, though good enough value when you add in the starter and dessert package. Starters satisfactory, but £1 surcharges a rip-off. Main courses disappointed! Lamb shank was the worst ever: stringy, fatty and little meat, sitting on a bed of warmish potato. Fish was OK, but bland and a vegetable accompaniment would have helped. Two steaks [when the right dishes eventually arrived] were tasty enough. One 'side' was an embarrassment - the garlic chips turned out to be ordinary chips in a dish half filled with a garlic liquid. Half of them became soggy and inedible - just awful! Generally tasty desserts to finish - the butterscotch sundae was so-so; glass not filled and butterscotch rationed! Passed on our overall disappointment to a very friendly waitress, but there was no come-back. She obviously didn't pass on my views. I'd English visitors and apart from the view, I felt badly let down. I'll not be rushing back.

Service was very good. There was a nice busy buzz in the restaurant. The breads starter was really nice and enough for two. Our meals were really good! Two adults and one very happy child. He loved the gravy with his chicken and potatoes. Our creamy pepper pasta and chicken Maryland were really tasty. Would like to go back and try the 2 or 3 course meal deal as it seems like excellent value.

Due to the large amount of customers the staff were finding it difficult to provide a good service and the constant opening of the front door on a very cold night meant we were cold as we were sitting near the entrance. Apart from that the food was excellent and the waiting staff tried their best.Probably better to go when it is not a holiday time as we have had excellent experience eating here before.
