We were a party of 11 celebrating a 50th Birthday. We found the service and food both excellent. A great time was had by all and will definitely go again.

Food was very tasty and service swift. I deliberated over two dishes and the waiter made the choice for me - he chose well - the dish was delicious!

When you arrive at 12.oo and told that the place isn't open.. ( even though you've just walked through the front doors that are open ) is a bit off-putting.. Much better to be shown your table.. politely..and with a smile.

Lovely restaurant, great service, quality food but bit pricey. Very close to Colston Hall so it's a great place to visit if you fancy a bit of spice before heading to the venue.

The staff very polite and helpful. Food excellent - good choice of vegetarian dishes, and delicious individual flavours. Different from the usual Indian restaurant. Highly recommended!

We lived in Oxford for years and kept meaning to eat at 4500 Miles there....didn't make it, then moved to Bristol and managed to get here at last! Now VERY disappointed that we hadn't tried Oxford! What we've been missing!!!! Great food, great service. This is one of those Indian Restaurants that serves great flavoured food that is 'clean' and subtle. The naan breads are the best we've experienced - but overall outstanding. Definitely returning!

we discovered this restaurant with a takeaway that blown us over so we had high expectations when we went there. Unfortunately the food was not as good as the takeaway, the lamb chops were dry and the main a bit bland. On a positive note they know who to make tasty naan breads and the service is very friendly and atmosphere very relaxed. I will go again to try adifferent meal.

All round great food. The service was good and there was an excellent selection of vegetarian options as well as a wide range of interesting meat dishes. Atmosphere was good and the drinks menu was comprehensive. Over all, would recommend.

overall it is good and it would be great if it is more interactive and ask for the options for veg. Great that accepted the groupon code even I didn't include that while booking the table.

4,500 MIles from Delhi is a really good restaurant, excellent food and the service is really good from very friendly staff; however on this occasion they appeared to be using an out of date drinks menu, as the price of the drinks on the menu, differed considerably from what was charged and when checking the following day, what appears on the website, Estrella for example was a £1 pint more than what was on the menu, almost the same with Thatchers Gold.

Excellent, virtually faultless food, which is always the main thing. You do have to pay for it though as it's not the cheapest of eats but you don't mind when you feel like you've had a really good meal. Service was pretty good. Certainly started well at 6:30 on a Saturday evening when fairly quiet but seemed to be getting stretched by 8pm as we were looking to leave. However that's to be expected for that time of the week. Overall you should definitely give it a go, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Excellent food, great service; ended up somewhat more expensive than we expected. Dishes seem reasonably priced but you quickly find yourself paying a lot for dips, bread and sides.

Poppadoms are £1.85 each, which is ridiculous. No sauces. Table service is terrible, we had to wait 40mins for the bill & then another 30mins to get our change back. Absolutely ridiculous. Expensive and bad service.

The Buffet states for 2 people.the starter had 5 items which each had to be cut in half to share, why not give each person a single portion. The curry was probably enough for 1 person, and the sweet at the end had to be shared between 2,you don't expect a single sweet when the meal is for 2 customers. I have eaten there before with the previous style of buffet, but this new one is a rear dissapointment

We had the lunch buffet which was rather like a tappas where you get a little bit of everything, The choice was good but it may not suit everyone, I would only have this if you are happy to try a little of everything and not choosy over your food. What we had was very nice and the dishes were well and truly empty. The staff were friendly and the restaurant very clean and inviting, and lovely and warm not like some restaurants that have air con blasting at you.

The food is good, as is the service. It's not the cheapest place to eat in Bristol, but given its location it is understandable. The interior is very nice as it the atmosphere. Slightly disappointed that the Chicken Drumstick starter has disappeared.

My experience was very good but one of the party in the group ended up with the wrong dish from what he had ordered. The waited checked it but still gave him the same meal back claiming it to be correct.

The food was lovely. However, we just felt a bit rushed during our meal. Our starters came whilst we were still having our poppadoms and chutneys, and our mains came almost immediately after our starters. Generally, the staff were very attentive.

Good food bit not amazing, too expensive and poor service. 7 drinks, 3 rice, 4 breads and 4 mains £130. For this price, go to the mint rooms in Clifton which has amazing food and service for a similar price

The food was decent and the service was good but I wasn't particularly impressed; expected more from a restaurant in such a prominent location, there are so many Indian restaurants to choose from in Bristol, I probably won't bother going back.

Very good Indian restaurant.. big but nice atmosphere and good, attentive service. The food was excellent. Fresh crisp naan, well spiced curry dishes, and lovely rice flavoured with whole spices. More expensive than your regular Indian, c£40pp for popadums, starters, main rice and naan with a beer, but worth it

Very nice looking restaurant and decoration of the interior and tables. Food was tasty, I ordered a lamb rogan josh which was 2 chillis hot and my mouth was burning so I wouldn't go much hotter than this if you don't like really spicy food. The pricing was good and the amount of food was reasonable. The waters were really attentive and the food only took around 20 mins to arrive. Would go again but order water for the table!
