I have been several times, the food is always fantastic and the service is always attentive and warm. My favourite place to eat in Glasgow.

Very misleading (i'd even call it "cheating") menu. How would you read a line: 5 course Testing: 20 + Matching Wine: 30? Anyone seeing it on the same line would assume (so did all three of us - i.e. myself, my wife and my son!) 5 course Testing #20 + Matching Wine = #30. IF #30 is It was an awful surprise to see Matching wine #30 x 4 = #120 on our bill (plus #20x4=80 for the meal). 200 pounds where everyone reading this menu would expect to pay 80??? This is not on, IMHO. Wine was probably good (5 half glasses (!) ) but I do not like to be cheated into buying overpriced wine by cheating menus. Cheating 111 by Nico and company.

Kind and helpful staff, very prompt service. Five course taster menu was divine and the cheese course well worth the £7. Since the restaurant is small and was packed when we arrived at 8pm the noise level was quite high, but subsided with time - I'd recommend going late-ish in the evening if you're intending on having intense meaningful conversations. To be honest, though, you won't feel the need to talk when you have Nico's food on your plate.

I had a really delicious 5 course tasting menu which was extremely good value! Each course was fantastic, although the dessert was slightly less of a standard it was still really nice! Will definitely be going back!

This was a first class dining experience from start to finish. Our taste buds were tantalised by some excellent tasting foods and the wee extras that went into the presentation of the dishes was really appreciated. Thank you so much for making my son's 18th Birthday meal so memorable!

The tasting menu for 20 pounds is an absolute bargain, definitely some of the best food in Glasgow. Very creative and tasty but not too fussy. All the staff are very friendly and the whole restaurant is welcoming and relaxed. A must visit!

Exceptional food, presentation and service. We went on a Monday for the 20£ tasting menu - great value. Two people in our party did not eat pork, and they gladly substituted beef for them.

The food, drink and staff were excellent. The only problem was we were sat near the window on a cold night & it wasn't very warm.

Superb from start to finish. This was a birthday treat for hubby. 2 great menus to select from a 2 or 3 course or 5 course tasting menu with or without wines. We selected the 3 course menu as hubby noticed Rabbit and he loves that. Hubby has the scallops and tiger prawns, rabbit and creme brulee. I had the vegetable terrine, spelt and brownies. 2 starters bread with fab paprika butter and the vegetable chips, 2 sides fennel and apple salad and the chips for hubby. Great bottle of gavi and coffee and amareti biscuits. Rounded off a great meal in a cosy surroundings. Great to watch all the dishes going by and the smoke smell from the ham hock was really nice. Service was superb and all the staff fab. Hubby now wants to go back and do the tasting menu!

One of the best restaurants in Glasgow. The chef pays special attention to giving the customers a feast of flavours in the starters, main courses and desserts. The night got off to a great start with a delicious mushroom velour amuse bouche. A nice touch is the servers describing all the ingredients on your plate as they serve you. Pork served two ways was delicious (accompanied by a fennel apple side and skinny fries) as was the dark chocolate dessert balanced by a fruit flavoured light ice cream. Only minor quibble was perhaps the small portion sizes (sides were definitely needed), but given that three courses are only £22, it still represents excellent value.

Very interesting and well thought out food dishes that were very professionally presented. The ambiance was lovely and the staff could not have been nicer introducing and explaining what was in each dish. This is a 5* establishment, with 5* food served by 5* staff without the 5* prices. Will definitely recommend to others and return in the near future.

As usual the dishes were creative and locally inspired. The sauces were a little heavy handed which at times overpowered. The service was attentive. The ambient noise from other diners in the restaurant was distractingly loud.

Great experience. We had the 5 course tasting menu, with matched wines. My wife doesn't like dairy, and they effortlessly tweaked a couple of the dishes to accommodate us. The restaurant was full on a busy Saturday evening, and had a great buzz. The food was prepared to a very high standard - every plate a winner. Only slight dissapointent was that the dessert on the menu was not what we were actually given - they blamed a printing mix up as they were changing the menu, but I felt they should have at least advised us of that when we opted for the 5 course fixed option menu - instead they said nothing and just presented us with the (entirely different) dessert than that advertised. As it contained cream, we then had a delay while they took my wife's plate away to make it dairy free. Overall though it was a great meal with some nicely judged wine pairings, not cheap but worth it for a treat.

Absolutely beautiful meal and service. Every bite was delicious and we had to hold one friend back from licking the plate of her chocolate and passion fruit dessert. Will definitely be back.
